Came here for Christmas day and was so impressed! We were a party of 4, had the Turkey, beef and Duck, were absolutely blown away! Now we are regulars! The food, the service and the atmosphere are all so very good. The managers are so personable and welcoming, as are the staff who are attentive and hard working. We've been exploring many outlets for the best Sunday roast, after more than 15 tried so far in the christchurch area, the New Queen is no. 1! The live music on a Sunday afternoon creates a wonderful atmosphere and everyone seems so happy! Could not recommend highly enough!!
This is a surprising 5 star review. Why? Well we visited a fair while ago and were not particularly impressed. This time. They managed to fit in a table of 9 without fuss or bother at VERY short notice. The service was excellent and most importantly the food was good. I mean very good. With plenty of parking, flat level access and an outdoor seating area with a kids playground I can heartily recommend this pub to all age groups.
This a must go to destination where you are greeted with the warmest of welcomes from kamil and Martin and the team. It is a wonderful character pub with the best food in the area. I guarantee you won't be disappointed and will leave wanting to go back again and again

We had to ask staff to take our order, asked twice for water for the dog, same with salt & pepper and twice for the bill. No one bothered to ask us how our meal was. Throughout this the manager was either on his phone, looking at the weather outside or dancing & chatting behind the bar. Such a shame as some of the food was nice, although the sea bass was the size of a goldfish. What could have been a very good dinner in a very comfortable pub was spoilt by exceptionally lazy service by all except for one waiter named Simon who seemed to be doing everything whilst others seemed to have anything but customer service on their minds
Had a really nice meal for 4 last night. Food was good and staff pleasant. Everyone enjoyed their food. However we just don't agree with a service charge being automatically added to the bill. I dislike the fact that the decision to tip is taken away from you. We tip 95% of the time but still like to be in control of that choice. I know we can ask to have the charge removed but I don't want to have to explain this at the end of an enjoyable couple of hours dining with friends. The New Queen is one of many using this system and we find ourselves not re-visiting these establishments or this reason. If you don't mind this then it's a lovely place with good food and plenty of parking.
Ryan and his team were very attentive to our needs. Incredible experience for my wife and I. Not only was Ryan interested in delivering a first class service. He went the extra mile in making our candlelit dinner at The New Queen Inn a memorable one. 10 out of 10 for custome r service. I will recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Ryan
Outstanding food quality and prompt and courteous service. The pork belly was one of the best I had in years. The toffee pudding was perfect as well. Nice outdoor environment.
Absolutely first class! Enjoyed the Sunday roast - Excellent in terms of quality from the kitchen and service from front of house - lovely to see the Guvnor with a cloth in his hand wiping tables - old school leadership from the front! Great atmosphere, great food, great service - Happy Days! Kid-friendliness: My kids have always loved it - when they were 3, 7 & 18 and now when they are 14, 18 & 28 Parking: A sufficiency of spaces Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access on crutches - and an easy exit on crutches - even after a couple of pints!
Brilliant evening. There were 10 of us including 2 small children. Booked on the day which was no problem. Food was great. Good portions, taste and presentation. Children's menu also highly recommended. Service was attentive and staff very friendly. Thank you. Definitely worth a visit.
