Beautiful room with stunning views. Delicious veggie breakfast. Wonderful, kind and polite hosts. We had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing time here would definitely recommend and come again.

This is my second stay at Thorncliffe, and I love it here. The owner-operators are welcoming and helpful, have outfitted their rooms thoughtfully and keep everything exceptionally clean and comfortable. The view from the loft room is stunning. Skylight shades keep the room dark – I have had the best of sleeps in this quiet room. Room has a silent-running fridge, TV, drawers, tables, chairs and queen-size bed. The private bathroom is beside the loft room, with claw-foot tub and hand-shower. I will certainly stay here again in future.

If I had a better vocabulary, I could adequately describe Thorncliffe. Let me start by saying that Jo and Carmel are immensely accommodating and their place is not only clean and beautiful, but conveniently located to everything in town. Our room was spacious and stocked with all kinds of goodies. Breakfast was light and complimented with the best croissants I've ever eaten. The view from our room was outstanding. The bathroom we had was my dream bathroom complete with a giant stand alone tub and I felt like a queen the two nights we were there. My husband and I were hiking the Pennine Way and needed a couple days to recuperate from blisters and sore feet. Jo had a tub of cream she recommended and gave us hers! I can't say enough about Thorncliffe. If you're looking for a place to stay a night or two, Thorncliffe is the best option in town. Be careful though, you may want to stay forever!

Beautiful place to stay, the room was lovely and well stocked with snacks and drinks. The breakfast was the most nutritious I've ever eaten! And was delivered to our door at an agreed time. It was an absolute treat to stay and I hope we do again.
