This place is amazing. We did an exclusive hire that enabled our extended family to get together, share meals and catch up. Everything about the accommodation and location was ideal for our mix of three generations with different mobility and energy levels. Being close to the village and to so many walking paths meant everyone could easily go their own way during the day and reconvene in the evenings. Inside the hostel, the bedrooms were comfy, the lounge was spacious and warm, and the kitchen was well-stocked and easy to keep clean. We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much to the lovely staff.
Have stayed here numerous times, having walked the Calderdale Way this year. Also do an annual autumn walk among the beautiful sylvan scenery of Hardcastle Crags and Nutclough woods. The hostel is very clean and in a beautiful sylvan location, perched on a hill above the town centre. It's good value, in my opinion, especially as there's a 'Hebden Bridge tax' on many things in this charming little town. There's no on-site service as such, but everything is provided anyway. The kitchen is large and well-stocked and I love the little lounge/common room at the end of the corridor. Just be careful if taking a shortcut up the cobbled snickets/ginnels on the way up/down as they are very slippy after rain, especially with the autumn leaves dotted about!
This was a great place to stay with 2 nice lounge areas, one a snug with a wood burner and the other a socal lounge with headphones for silent disco. The location was great and very close to the centre but is up a hill. Rooms were well put together and slept like a log
ALWAYS FAB! We have now stayed here twice, such a glorious location and a really solid/kind and well maintained lodge. I think communal spaces reflect the values of the place itself and everyone is kind and respectful within shared spaces. I love all the quirky bits of arty props and promo pictures of plays/performances, gives the whole place a really nice energy! Trying the silent disco next time!
We booked a four bedded room for an overnight stay as walking through Hebden Bridge to HaworthnCommunication was really clear and we found our way in easily following instructions sent beforenWe were visiting in december so it was quiet but there seemed to have plenty of space even for a busier timenThe kitchen was well equipped as expected and we really appreciated the tea/coffee and even breakfast cerealnThere is plenty of room for four with a shared toilet and shower both separate within the roomnThe upstairs bunks are quite high up ! On a mezzanine but thats means you all get a full single bed
