Me and my friend had a lovely meal in the Wolferstan Arms this evening. We both had a burger as it was what we fancied and it did not disappoint! We had the cauliflower bites from the starter menu as a side dish and they were beautiful! Great value for money and portion sizes were good too! A real nice atmosphere and we had a great evening having a catch up. The staff were really friendly and helpful and served us with a smile. Claire in particular was great with us and we had a friendly conversation whilst she served us at the bar, an absolute credit to the place! Thank you for an enjoyable evening!
Came here for lunch after spotting the pub close by on the map. Large family friendly pub with good size food portions. The staff were very friendly and polite. Will definitely go again when back in the area
Very welcoming friendly pub. Food excellent, my beef was cooked to perfection! With sticky toffee pudding for sweet topped the perfect Sunday treat. Thank to our lovely waitress Chloe, really enjoyed it, we will be back xxx
The 3 of us went here last minute for a meal. We didn't have a booking but still managed to get a table even though it was a relatively busy Saturday evening. Was told there was a 30-40 minute wait on food which was fine After 25 minutes the food was with us. All piping hot and delicious. Much better quality than when it was the 2-4-1 menu. We all had burgers . And the only complaint was from my son who had a cheeseburger, and in his words. "Dad, there ain't much cheese on it" Will definitely be going back in the future.
Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful view. I didn't have food but other peoples looked really nice. Good selection of alcohol free drinks.
Today we celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday at the Wolferstan Arms in Shuttington. The occasion was a great success and it is very easy to highly recommend this pub. Not the prettiest of pubs from the outside but then it was a cold and grey winters day but once through the front door it was warm and welcoming. We were served by Claire today and both she and her colleagues looked after us so well. The service was excellent. There is a fair sized menu of the usual pub favourites and everyone was more than happy with their choices. Great chips! The dining room was homely and we enjoyed a table with a great view over the surrounding countryside. Will definitely revisit this pub again. Well done to the Wolferstan Arms and all that work there.
Visited tonight for the first time . The staff were very friendly. The pub was very clean and a nice chilled atmosphere. We ordered quite late and even so the food came out cooked to perfection. We both had the cowboy burger and at £10.10 I was amazed at the quality of the meal. Was freshly cooked and tasted great. Would definitely recommend and will go back.
Lovely warm welcome, we were seated quickly and given menus to peruse, our drinks order was taken and the staff member was very knowledgeable about the different ales they had on offer activity sheets for the children to keep them happy our meals didn’t take too long to arrive, we were asked about any allergies and our daughters dietary requirements were no problem at all for them to cater for. Our meals were very tasty and arrived hot. We were swayed by the dessert menu and indulged in some lovely puddings. Great value for money, nice play park gif the kids. Will definitely return
Very welcoming staff. No stand off with staff due to bringing the dog. Good choice of food which was served quickly. I had an issue with my meat that was dealt with very quickly. The atmosphere in the pub was nice. Very clean I would definitely recommend and return.
We were looking forward to going out for Christmas lunch this year unfortunately we booked the Wolferstan Arms we arrived on time and we were advised to order a drink from the bar as our table was not ready we did so and other diners arrived after us and were shown to their table first. When we did sit at our table we were given our starter mushroom soup which was very average the mushrooms could have done with chopped or diced then our turkey dinner arrived, presentation was not great although our meal was hot we then had our dessert the Christmas pudding was okay but there was not much custard in the dish. We did order two more drinks which did not arrive for some reason, we then left underwhelmed, there are other places we would go to instead in the future
