A decent country pub serving good quality Bombardier. We had the lobster and seafood starter and my daughter had the lamb shank roast. I hope to return, but will avoid the starter I had. My daughter's meal was very, very good

We visited today for Sunday lunch today and the food and the service was fantastic. Even though it was busy the staff made such an effort with all of us, particularly our 2 children. Hayley especially was great, she made an effort to call our children by their names and even allowed our 6 year old to help get the bill ready. Eating out with our toddler is quite stressful at the moment but all of the staff were so understanding and great with him. The food was amazing but has been on all 3 occasions we have visited and we would highly recommend. It really is a lovely, family friendly pub.
Came here for the first time yesterday evening for an early anniversary dinner with my wife. Didn’t have to wait long to be shown our table. Nicely presented tables with plenty of food and drink options. We both had a steak which was cooked to our desired temperatures with no complaints. Would definitely recommend to others. What made our night even better was how our waitress, Kim, tagged into our little anniversary drinking game and helped us make some excellent gin combinations and put up with our antics for the night. Certainly made us feel warm and welcome and we will definitely be returning in the near future! Special thanks to Kim and the rest of the team for a great night.
Dog friendly that actually means dog friendly. The staff and friendly and the food was really good. Lovely atmosphere and the beer garden was great
My Brother and I popped in for a working lunch with only an hour to spare. We were served by Sarah who went above and beyond to ensure there were no delays with our food. It was exceptional service and the food is absolutely delicious. My Brother had a chicken and bacon salad and I had the almond pesto noodle bowl…So nice and good portion size. We will definitely be coming here again. Loverly environment and comfortable surroundings with attentive staff. A****
Wonderful Sunday lunch, took friends not seen for years, made very welcome, service was very good from Sharon G. Food was amazing. And all reasonably priced. Can not praise highly enough. First class!
Had a nice meal for 3 of us at very short notice on a very busy Friday night. Service and food were very good thank you. Nice feel about the place and all the staff including Sarah made us feel very special although they were all working flat out. Many thanks team.
Staff really friendly and helpful we were served by Sarah who made are experience wonderful. We were a bit worried about coming for a meal on Morher’s Day as sometimes the restaurants are too full and service isn’t always the best but we couldn’t fault The Fox today the meal was beautiful and the service was spot on. Will definitely be returning some time soon.
Lovely pub, polite staff. Food was out quickly for a Sunday lunch. Only disappointment was the Mushroom Wellington. Lots of puff pastry, but no mushrooms and a small amount of rice and spinach. I'm not a veggie but it sounded nice. Won't order that again
