Red Lion
"We’ve been at The Red Lion almost three years and are investing all the time to make it a better place to visit! Our lounge has been refurbished to make our customers feel relaxed and welcome. Our food offer is traditional and homemade with a few bits of spice, our food is executed by a great kitchen team and served by our fab front of house team! We are always happy to help whatever your needs maybe. Dogs are welcome in our bar area where treats are always waiting ! A fantastic canalside garden, safe for children to play and adults to relax! Breakfast from 10am, seven days a week !"

Popped in for lunch . Was made very welcome by staff. Food was all homemade and delicious. Very generous portions. Excellent value for money. And the deserts were amazing too. Would definitely recommend this place. But due to its popularity advise to book. We went on off chance but it was early 12.30 pm and got a table. The outside canal garden is simply beautiful . We will be back and very soon.
6 of our family went for Sunday dinner and to celebrate our grandsons birthday. We all had a dinner and all enjoyed it. We took our own cake and a special thank you to staff member Ruby who helped serve it up at the end. We ate indoors and went outside when finished where there is a garden and play area. Beware that not all dog owners clean up after their pets. Thankfully dogs are only allowed outside. A very good pub.
Called with a friend on the off chance of getting a tablet for two. Staff were lovely, very helpful anf attentive we're a couple of golden oldies nothing was too much trouble, we both ordered steak which was first class and cooked exactly how we like it. Would certainly recommend and will be going there again.
Awesome locally owned pub serving fresh cooked food. Lovely beer garden overlooking the canal - Sunday dinners are lush as are the chicken & bacon salad
The meals were hot and served promptly. Generous portions and good quality food. Staff were pleasant and friendly and the party we were with thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Had a lovely meal with the Family. The meal was delicious but too much for me to eat. Very friendly staff abd efficient service.
14 of us attended for a birthday meal. Staff were excellent, food good and all arrived at the same time piping hot. Would definitely visit again.
Having failed to book at another local pub we used the quick and simple online booking system used by The Red Lion. We booked a table easily for a time that suited us. The outside of the pub may be a little uninspiring but once inside we were we were greeted with a warm welcome and a nicely decorated interior. Service was quick and efficient. The menu had a reasonable range of food and the specials board had some interesting options. Our three choices included scampi and chips, pork in apple cider with mash and hunters chicken. Followed by ice cream, lemon meringue pie and caramel apple pie. All the food was well prepared and tasty. We had a nice meal in pleasant surroundings and were glad that we had visited this friendly pub.
Lovely spot and were happy to adapt the vegetarian breakfast to be a very tasty vegan version. We highly rate this place, seems a shame just to be passing through
Good food & friendly service, nice easy going pub with garden area running alongside the canal
