The food was of excellent quality. The service was very good and friendly by the team. The pub was clean and tidy. I would recommend this pub.Food: 5/5
Decided to drop in for a quick bite to eat, didn't know the area but love the Sizzling pub food, the pub looked nice and well kept from the outside, walked in to be welcomed by a nice member of the team, the chap gave a nice welcome and showed us to a table and explained how to order etc, I ordered the food with extras and slight tweaks to the food order, prices were good value for money, food took around 20 minutes but was well worth the wait, food was piping hot and full of great flavours, staff asked if everything was ok during our meal so friendly, the lounge area was very clean and tidy and I would recommend this place to anyone for a great place to eat and drink.
This restaurant is close to my home. Such a relaxing place with good food and drink. The window seats are very good for reading.Food: 4/5
Went to try out the new menu and we had a 50% off main meals voucher to use. The new menu looks great, with loads of old favourites but lots of new choices too! I opted for the chicken platter which was lovely! Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a nice atmosphere too. They have recently gone back to ordering at the bar, but I did prefer the table service that they previously had. You can order from the app but we wanted to swap a couple of things on a meal so was easier to go up. Overall, a good experience and would eat here again!
First time visiting. Food was nice however it did not mention they would be putting cheese on my vegan chilli. Fair prices, nice staff
Absolutely fabulous meal with 8 friends, menu is brilliant loads to choose from, prices are very good. Quick service meals all came at the same time, good sized portion, lovely sweet menu. Would definitely go back thank you Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level
Nice bar/restaurant with good friendly service, nice food & decent drink selection. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly Parking: Car parking in front of the restaurant.
This is the second time we have been to the Riftswood for lunch and the difference between our visits is notable. We couldn't park in the disabled bay because it is, we were told, reserved for a tenant. There were two of us that were disabled visiting. I ordered the salad with a 5oz Rump steak, medium rare. This piece of meat was tough, full of gristle. The salad was stale and the flavours were not there. My husband had the Hunters chicken but was such a small portion we thought it must have been meant for a child. Our friend had scampi, and she appeared to enjoy that. We all had lemon meringue pie for dessert but again you could see that it was stale by the way the filling was coming away from the pastry. If I hadn't been so hungry --having had almost no lunch-- I would not have eaten it. The flavour and texture were insipid. We will not patronise this Inn again.
Having recently moved back to Tamworth after many years, I decided to visit a few of my old drinking haunts. One being the Riftswood who as a team from my first visit made me feel welcome & valued. I feel like I have been using this place for many years & the main attractions are the very comfortable feel, cleanliness & general positive atmosphere of the establishment. I do put this down as one of my “go to” venues & will remain visiting. Full marks to the manager & his wonderful staff for a kind, relaxed & friendly experience, keep up the good work team!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Quite good access for me in a wheelchair, couple of minor structural changes could be done to aid easier accessibility, but did not struggle too much to enter the premises.
Jimmy was a very polite young man and he is a credit to the team. very friendly staff and food was amazing. Came to the quiz of sunday which are very entertaining and also huge credit to the chef that cooked the steaks ‍
