The Witchery by the Castle has developed a world-wide reputation for its exceptional dining experience, showcasing the very best of Scotland's produce in the most magical of settings. Now in its fourth decade, the Witchery is a Scottish dining landmark, much loved by loyal locals, its celebrity fans and visitors to the city alike.

One of the best meals I have ever had. I came with my mother on her birthday and our food and drinks were delicious. Our servers were fast, attentive and very nice. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful in every corner. Would definitely return.

Atmospheric restaurant with attentive professional staff. Wide wine selection and knowledgeable wine waiter. Price reflects the level of service, location and professionalism. Only challenge is portion size; far too small. Go for the atmosphere and location, but if you're hungry may be think again.

The place was amazing. Food was great service was great. It was very expensive though. While we are on holiday we were already overextended with hotel, dinners, transportation, and everything else. Dinner added an extra £150 to the expense. Other than price it was amazing. Portion could have been a little bigger also.

Nice dining experience. Historic setting. Good menu and drinks. Excellent service. Would recommend the witchery desert selection. Will definitely look to return.

Great location and smart waiter service. We had the £22 2 course lunch. Fair quality but the fish pie was all white fish and mash. Not a prawn or other fish in sight. I had duck which was wrapped in pastry and fatty. Overall ok but tourist oriented.
