This is a brilliant restaurant. In terms of value, you won't find better food for the price in Edinburgh or even Scotland if you go for the two course lunch deal for £10. Top quality food. Small space, but atmosphere is nice and staff are great. They offer BYOB or can order wine/beer from menu. Sunday lunch also delicious. Often have to book week or so in advance for most popular times as it's so busy. Would definitely recommend this place and although it's a bit out of the way from the centre, it's well worth seeking out for a good lunch or dinner. Jane been three times. Excellent.

Stumbled across this place and a 2 course for 10 pound deal and had to try it. Was very impressed at the quality of the food. Super delicious with a nice wine selection. Service was fast and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Wonderful in ever way. I really can't praise this place enough, really deserves a Michelin star for the quality of food they serve.

Fantastic restaurant on the Leith road. Found it online before or recent holiday to Edinburgh and very sensibly decided to book a table, because even on a miserable Wednesday evening in January the place was packed. This will come as no surprise once you have enjoyed the cooking, which is first rate. Starting with ham hock terrine, simple but oh so tasty, and easy to get wrong. My partner had fresh scallops, sweet and succulent as the should be and cooked to perfection. Following on came the short rib of beef, with fondant potato, carrots, Yorkshire pudding and gravy, described by the waitress as a today and not far wrong. The slow cooked beef just fell off the bike and was so tender it just melted in my mouth. The other main was pork belly, equally well cooked and some excellent crackling to boot. There was just enough room for dessert after the incredibly generous portions; plus I didn't want to miss out on meringue with salt caramel, delicious, if rather decadent way to finish the meal. Altogether an incredibly enjoyable evening for a very reasonable price. The option of BYOB at just £3.50 corkage, adds to the sense of good value. Thoroughly recommended.
