Very nice place to eat. The service staff were cheery and eager to please, nothing too much trouble. The staff catered for my daughter's allergy, although it was a very limited choice. The food was excellent and plentiful. The fish and chips was huge; couldn't finish it! Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
Wonderful food, in a relaxed atmosphere. Shout out to our waiter Cameron, who provided excellent customer service and arranged my meal to be adjusted to suit my dietary needs.
Very cheerful + helpful Welsh lad serving behind the bar.. alone initially. He was taking orders, serving food, promptly clearing and wiping tables. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a toddler and baby with us and he kindly carried our drinks. Food was tasty and well cooked. Chips fresh and crispy. I was a bit disappointed that there was no peas, or half a grilled tomato or salad garnish.. To me, it is not a meal without any veg at all. Just gammon and chips and a sprig for garnish. My daughter's burger meal had no onion rings, but to be fair, we were informed at point of ordering! My Gammon was very well cooked and not salty. Atmosphere was pleasant, pub was clean. Plenty of parking. Overall, a good experience and would return.
Have been here for dessert before and though would be great to come and try food the next time. Unfortunately was rather disappointed. Came on a Friday night and had booked a table. Staff seemed very preoccupied with the bar area even though there were quite a few of them. A young lad served us but unfortunately it seemed he was either very new or really didn’t know what he was doing. - forgot to bring cutlery to our table after taking it all away after starters. We had to steal from the next door table. Never brought us any sauces despite us asking numerous times. No one came round to ask if the food was ok - which it wasn’t as the rump steaks were cooked quite badly. Well done which we’re supposed to be medium rare. And then tried to overcharge by £30 as forgot to remove the booking charge from The menu. Shame really and not normally one to complain but we did expect better
We didn't arrive until quite late and still not a problem to order food. The place is decorated nicely and very clean throughout. There is a mix of furniture and a relaxed atmosphere. A good offer of beers and served nicely...in the correct branded glasses The food arrived promptly. It was piping hot, generous portions and really tasty. Only criticism I would make is if you serve a side salad in a small bowl please shred lettuce and mix it. Also, there was no dressing. Last orders was given at 10.30pm which was unexpected and disappointed to end our visit in a rush. But enjoyed evening and will return. More vegetarian options would be welcome.
Good parking. Nicely kept building and outside area. Warm inside with enough space between tables to easily move through. Friendly, attentive welcome. Appealing menu and superb waiting staff. We were impressed on our first visit by the waiting staff member and we're not disappointed this time either.
Shocked to find another place for a Sunday roast in Bristol that delivers so well. Food quality is second to none and the friendliness from the staff and the attitude to go above and beyond for you is incredible. Seated me and my partner on short notice and was very accommodating. Thank you for the brilliant service and also a massive thank you to a gentleman called James. I am unsure if he is a manger or not, however he has for sure earned his title there. Couldn’t do enough for us. we can’t wait to see you again. Thank you!
Had a great night here for a birthday meal. Food arrived in good time and was absolutely delicious, so fresh and tasty. Amazing service, our server was very attentive and took good care of our party. Would definitely recommend
We were shown to our table by the window, which was nice. The waitress was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. The food was good as was the coffee and mini pudding. I was confused to get a card saying that we were served by Ethan, but we were served by a female waitress.
I like the atmosphere in the pub. It was very Christmassy and smelt lovely. The food we all had was delicious. I enjoyed my Prosecco and my mini pud. I find the toilets upstairs a bit We had a great evening with friends and will visit again. Please remember to register your car reg at the bar!
