Had a Sunday lunch here and the food was so good and the staff are so friendly : would definitely recommend, just look at it
A fantastic pub for all occasions! Whether it’s a drink after work, somewhere for lunch, a Sunday roast or an event, The Cross Hands’ got you covered. Considering how big and busy it gets, food was great. Plenty of room outdoors, indoors and upstairs private function room. Toilets were clean and the whole place is well decorated and cleaned. Plenty of street parking around the pub. And there’s something for everyone, dogs, kids and adults. Highly recommend!
Decent Sunday dinner.... Lamb was tender and delicious. Plenty of gravy and the kale was a nice addition. Two bege options as well. Only niggle was it could have used a couple of extra potatoes. It definitely will be back!!!!
Great food, owner was nice as well. Took the time to talk to us even though it was busy. Definitely be back again.
Wow! What a place!! Best most affordable food this side of the pandemic. Great staff too.
I've been here a few times lately and there have always been interesting beer options. The manager/owner knows how to look after the beer.
The food was good but we were with a 3 years old who was happily running around in their garden pretending to be a dinosaur. We were asked by personnel to keep the noise down as “other people were eating there”. Interesting that the noise a company sitting near to us was making didn’t bother the personnel and they were much louder than our son. And come on people, it is a pub garden, seriously? Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with kids and would definitely avoid this place myself.
Good local pub staff are excellent good atmosphere and sunday lunches to die for
We visited here for Sunday lunch on a recommendation. The menu had the usual options on it so we made our choices. Prices seemed a little high but not excessive. We were asked to open a tab which seemed to involve keeping our debit card behind the bar to ensure we paid when we left which seemed a bit weird to say the least! The food was decent enough although all of the meals were swimming in gravy. Portion sizes were good although we could have all done with more veg. Service was excellent, chatty and engaging. The noise was the worst aspect - the tables are close together and it was so noisy that we actually left without coffee or the usual post lunch chat!
Nice pub, we were DJing here for an engagement party. The Staff are very friendly. We would visit again.
