Very nice place to eat. The service staff were cheery and eager to please, nothing to...
Excellent service food arrives in a timely fashion and was hot and tasty, what else could you ask for? Prices are also rather good, and the special offer two and three course meal deals are excellent and have varieties to suit most customers
Just wanted to say thank you once again for a lovely Christmas meal, we are well aware it is easy to get things wrong when the place is so busy and everyone has high expectations on such a special day. Maddie was exceptional and managed things perfectly. All five of us had lovely meals all served piping hot with no complaints whatsoever. Once again, thank you for a pleasant all round experience This has restored our confidence following a dreadful Christmas Day meal at the beefeater last year
Very disappointed. Booked table for 7.30pm...not ready as didn't look at the booking. Not a problem as seated within 5 minutes. Ordered gammon ham and waffles for dessert. No mushrooms or tomatoes so offered onion rings so again we accepted this. Whilst waiting for the dessert we ordered a coffee There was a problem with the coffee machine Again they did their best but very weak again we accepted this. Than at 9.20pm the desserts arrived Cold hard waffles. We picked the fruit of the top but couldn't eat the rest I took them to the end of the bar and complained to the manager. He did offer a replacement but it was now 9.40 pm. I said no thanks as it was late His reply was sorry about that then walked off. I think this was rather rude especially as we accepted the other failings
Nice clean pub with food brought out quickly … had Katsu Curry Will go back
Booked a table and was told the number allocated by the bar. Found the table and someone was on this table and had just started their mains. We asked a waitress who directed us to the bar where we had to queue again. They found us another table but was next to the cigarette point so the was really Cole when the door opened and closed. 35 mins after we ordered our food we were told 2 of the 4 mains were no longer available and needed to order again. Not the nest experience and the food was OK but wouldn't return for food.
Booked a table for a family birthday and at first they tried to cram us in a small area, but after moving from there another spot became available which we requested and the staff there were very accommodating. The food was good. Only negative is their roasts dont seem to be as nice in the late afternoon!?!
Really great food at reasonable prices. I had the Fish and Chips that came with mushy peas and tartare sauce. The fish sea bass was beautifully cooked. Everyone else really enjoyed the meals that they had as well. Only downside was the wait for food 45 mins but we were told that it would be 30-45 minutes when we ordered so that wasn't an issue. Fabulous selection of vegan and vegetarian options one of our party is vegan, which was very much appreciated. Thank you for great service and great food!
A tale of two visits. The first where my son and I were served by a welcoming young barman and the second by a surly older bearded guy who ignored my son whilst chatting to some friends. I went up and got the same treatment! The food and beer was good though but the experience in this nice pub was spoiled by unnecessary bad manners.
This a great locals pub. I visit here regularly for drinks and food. The staff are always very approachable & friendly. I would highly reccomend popping in for a swift half if you're passing!
Visited for a roast dinner, on ordering no cauliflower cheese at only 250pm and then advised 45 minute wait. We didn't receive the food for an hour, although when it came it was lovely. So would visit again but hopefully they will reduce the wait.
