A really marvellous real ale pub, also with a good range of lagers for people so inclined. Nice outside area, really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere, live sport and occasional live music. Hard to fault really... maybe except for the presence of the cheaper Wetherspoons around the corner. You pays your money etc

You should try it. Sadly our visit wasn't brilliant but it wasn't bad either. We had Sunday roasts and they were beautifully presented and quite differed in the way they were presented on the plate but sadly they were child and when we asked for them to be warmed they came out slightly warmer but now hot. It's a nice town pub, the staff were lovely and there was live music which was very good. The beer was good.

Very good town centre pub with a good beer selection, tasty food and a nice outdoor seating area. Staff were nice and helpful too!

No night out in Northampton would be complete without a visit here. It does tend to get busy though, and their choice of music sometimes (dodgy live guitar bands) leaves a lot to be desired. Still, the staff are friendly, and the drinks cheap enough for a town centre pub.
