Had a lovely meal last night at Church's restaurant in Northampton. Restaurant interior and design was perfect for a romantic dinner, with just the right ambience. Having lived in Italy for many years living in Italy I didn't expect to have authentic Italian risotto, but I was proved wrong. Delicious! Main was perfectly cooked. Desert was also excellent. Portion sizes were very good. The wine was very good. I would fully recommend this restaurant for that special evening!

Great service but sometimes hard to attract attention from waitress. Atmosphere is amazing, very well presented and they have made excellence use of being in a church. Food was nothing special, I ordered the chicken dish and was not very pleased as it's something I could have cooked myself and I'm a student, for the price it's not worth it.

Great food and great service. Went for Valentine's day and it's so pretty and well laid out. The steak I had was cooked to perfection and the staff were just brilliant

Nice building nice staff. Entrance lighting could be better after dark. Arrived for my birthday with my visual impaired husband. Had nice cocktail before getting our table. Service good left a nice tip. Ordered pan seared scollops starters and veal mains. Received some cold uncooked scollops, no roe sack. My husband thought they straight from a tin. Mains arrived over cooked rump steak. We finished our bottle of wine and left. Had a wonderful lunch here a few years ago. Wondered later was this because we stumbled in as my husband unable to see properly, didn't have a white stick and was taken as being drunk. Well it was a nice birthday dinner just not what we ordered. It being my 63 birthday didn't want to make a fuss.

An interesting building dating from 1158 - formerly a church. It's not cheap but the food is worth every penny. On top of that the serving staff are probably the most cheerful and helpful in Northampton. Highly recommended.
