The atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly. The hot sauce names were hilarious. The food was very tasty. The art surrounds you. The only reason I give this place a 4/5 is because it seemed a little pricey for what was received. £23 for a burger, fries and a drink. I would recommend this place and will come again. Thanks for the great experience.
The decor and vibe here is very good and really fits in with the theme of the restaurant. The food is incredible and you can get a lot for your money if you get a platter. The service wasn’t good enough though. It took 25 minutes for a waiter to ask for our drinks, 1.5 hours to get our food from being seated, and another 20 minutes to get the bill after we had asked 4 times. The staff were rude when queuing to refill our refillable drinks as we were “getting in the way”. The service really let us down because the rest is perfect.
Really enjoyed every aspect of The Smoke Pit. Buzzing atmosphere with an interior to match. Welcoming friendly staff with a real passion for the food they produce. As a group of 10 we filled the table with sharing platters of meat heaven! Great night out, will certainly return!
This place was recommended to us ages ago, and we just never got round to going.I booked it for our Valentines date night. We had a platter to share, it was absolutely huge. It was very nice. I had a Candy crush cocktail and my Huband a cider. We were really impressed with this restaurant. And it was clearly very popular. Very nice evening, and very enjoyable.
Came for early Friday dinner without booking. They had a few varieties of Brooklyn beers on tap and a ridiculously extensive bourbon menu. Oh my days, the portions were huge. Thankfully they have doggy bags it basically fed us for the day after too. I had the blue chicken burger as a platter, there was so much meat the bun only contained half of it. The ribs and pulled pork were smokey and delicious. Good service, excellent food.
Vibe is different, but in a good way. I can see myself returning to this place once every couple of months. Food: Was great. I had a burger with fries and my friend got a platter which adds chicken wings and some other stuff. I finished my meal, he couldn't. At the end we payed £44 for the food and 3 Vimto's. Which is good value for money. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cocktails look fantastic, but pricey £8+ I rate it a solid 8/10, but I wouldn't go here more than once every 2 months to keep it special.
Decided to experience some brisket and BBQ with the family. Lovely and calm experience. Food flavours and portions are great. Went for the Smoke Pit Platter and it was more that enough to share between 2 people. Will be going again. Staff polite and helpful.
Had a great bday dinner at the smoke pit, the food was awesome and had plenty of choice. A good selection of drinks including interesting cocktails. Didn't give a 5 as it's quiet expensive but it's worth the one of meal.Food: 5/5
Phwoar! At first sight it looks expensive, but the platters are massive and worth sharing maybe with a cheeky starter, which actually makes it great value. We have the Stinking Frenchman burger platter, which was ridiculously good. They have an amazing selection of whiskeys, but also a huge and varied menu of other drinks including 8 different gins to choose from and an impressive cocktail list. The decor is very cool and the music was the cherry on top. Service was excellent. We will definitely return.
Our visit was a birthday meal for our son. He had tried the food at Towcester food festival and loved it. I was dubios about the visit as am not a fan of smoked meats. The venue is quirky and fun, from the front door handles through to the toilet decor. Service is good and all staff are super helpfull. There is a great selection on the menu, with daily specials also available. We all had different meals, and were suprised at their size. They are substantial so come with an appetite. I had a Phat chef burger, which was succulent and full of flavour. The mac n cheese topping was fab. Crispy tobacco onions as a side were amazing.
