The West House in Llantwit Major is the new addition to the Town & Country family, and with its traditional stone walls, open fireplace and stunning courtyard, it fits in beautifully with the architectural uniqueness of the Collective.

Really comfy one-night stay in newly refurbished hotel. WiFi access in room would've been useful (room info said it was only available in the bar area). Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to Anna for her help.

Had a complimentary night at West house as compensation for things not being good when we stayed last December, at time of ownership change and start of refurbishment.
The staff could not do enough for us, free bottle of bubbly  and offer of taxi to a restaurant as evening meals not yet available. Room was stunning and very comfortable, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Nearly all rooms have now been refurbished to a very high standard. We couldn't beleive the transformation. 
Delicious breakfast and very friendly waitress who sorted every request quickly and easily.
Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel. We made a flying visit as we were visiting for a wedding. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Really comfy bed and room. Great breakfast. Also good out of hours access. Would recommend.

Used to be a family hotel with some charm, now taken over by some chain and a truly dire experience. Receptionist verging on rude and countering agreement we had made on the phone when we booked, no better when she ran the bar and the second night there was no bar despite her being there as she told us she was ill. Fine but was it really not possible to find other staff. Breakfast poor and very young staff sweet but really clueless and clearly undertrained and unmanaged. Must be better places to stay nearby.

Lovely old coutry hotel. Disappointed no provision for residents bar or place for friends to chat after 11pm.Accessing hotel by code at side entrance seemed rather unwelcoming. Friendly receptionist on arrival. Good breakfast.
