Lovely country hotel, very accomodative, open fire and comfortable seating/bar area. Rooms clean and tidy, very comfortable bed and powerful shower. Breakfast was quick served, clearly freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff were a pleasure.

Blend of charming heritage and modern cleanliness. Stayed on business (on a few occasions). Overall, represented value for what is offered and professional service - I have recommended this hotel to colleagues compared to our other options, with positive reception. Pros -Free wifi, and ample car parking; -Professional and polite staff; -Blend of charming heritage and modern clean rooms (welcoming complimentary chocolate plate, wine and stuffed dog!); -Beautiful building (warm reception with fire place, bar - you can see why weddings are held frequently here); -Location (amazing view, from the balcony executive suite room); -Dinner and breakfast are well presented and delicious; -Rooms have a bath option (I'm more of a shower person, though people tend to view this as a positive); -Sauna and gym facilities. Cons -No swimming pool (personally always like a good pool from a hotel); -Location (would need a car/taxi to get to the hotel as it is outskirts of town); -Small television (in comparison to room); -Gym has essentials only, and along with sauna is located in another building (not great if the weather is not looking so good); -Can be a wait to check in/out (this is an issue for most hotels though); -Route to/from hotel can b e seen as a challenge (technically one car only, should consider a one way system being built). Tips: If staying for dinner, recommend the bar menu. Give more time for breakfast, as it is cooked to order (hot foods). Check in/out earlier to avoid queuing. Drive with caution on the route to/from the hotel.
