Love this place, always guaranteed a very warm welcome, great food and excellent service.  We dine here often and always  greeted with a friendly smile, nothing is too much trouble, this place is very well run with a relaxed atmosphere.   Whether your looking for a celebration meal or a quiet date night for two this pub is a winner!

We go to the Wateringbury quite often but today it was not good. We had to ask if anyone was going to take our order,we waited over 1/2 hr for the drinks to arrive. The food was not so good either, husband's fish was hot , chips warm and peas cold. My fish pie wasn't as good as it used to be and the little bit of veg was terrible, the other two was not so bad. We felt it would be a waste of time to complain! firstly to get a member of staff to come and when a dessert menu was offered, one said yes but it never appeared, no coffee offered. I have always said there is never enough staff there and today a funeral wake arrived when waiting for our food so these two girls were running around trying to do it all. We shall think twice before going back.

Straight in from The Netherlands, we enjoyed Wateringbury and her surroundings. We tried to get a bite at the Wateringbury. But alas. The first night it was not possible to get any bar food. We were told that it was too busy in the restaurant. The next night we tried to reserve a table with the computer. No reaction. When we went to try it anyway (ca. 20.30 hrs) we were again rejected by the same staff as the other day. This time with the excuse "kitchen is closed". After us a couple came in, protested en said their table was booked. The staff send us home without a friendly word....
