A nice, simple traditional family restaurant which serves your typical Beefeater/Bernie Inn sort of fare, and prices are very reasonable. We went for the 2 mains for 8.99 which is crazy cheap - the cheese burger and fries for me, and the ham egg and chips for the old man. We also had a refillable drink each, as well as a ‘caramel apple Betty’ with ice cream for dessert - which were only 2.49 a piece as a bolt-on to the mains deal. The whole lot came to 20 quid! So that’s 2 mains, 2 desserts and 2 infinitely refillable fizzy drinks for a tenner a person. Really good value for money. The food itself was ok. Not bad, not amazing. Just decent. Don’t expect anything incredible. The burger was super basic, one step below a Wetherspoons. The fries were nice, though. One thing I’d say is service is nice but not attentive, as our desserts were forgotten and I had to go up and remind them and was given a curt “So you’re ready then?” , as if I was always their plan for us to wait 30 mins after finishing my meal and expected go find a waitress the other side of the building to tell them we were ready for a dessert. Also the tables and menus need a good clean, everything is a bit sticky! Overall though this is fantastic value for what you get, and will certainly come again.
Staff were friendly AND knowledgable on allergens. Forth coming with information, we made it known we were asked husband is coeliac. Had the Sunday carvery, only item couldn’t have was Yorkshire pudding. We COULD have stuffing balls! What a revelation, we will be going back! One clean plate and a tea refill too! Yes, free tea refills!
Came today after booking online, asked for a quieter seat to accommodate for someone with autism, they happily obliged and furthermore were incredibly welcoming at the door. ALL of the staff we spoke to were absolutely amazing. As for the food, it was incredible, we all really enjoyed ourselves and I'm very grateful. I highly recommend this place, could not have asked for more.
Went there for a light bite at lunch time not a great deal of choice, so we had a sharing starter starter which was enough for two and very good value. What let's this place down are the tables stickyand dirty very dusty chairs all which require a refurbishment.More choice of draft beers would be appreciated. Parking could be better as you have to drive over a short mud tracked area to reach the car park area which needs a tidy up.
First visit for us and will happily return. Greeting felt genuine by Scott and he dealt with our mildly complicated! order perfectly. Our allocated table was in a warm area of the restaurant but we were seated in a cooler area without any fuss. Food was delicious and hot and the desserts were amazing.
Huge que to order, no carrots came out with my meal, no alternative offered - infact refused nothing I can do she said, refused manager attendance, refused discount. Told I could only have carrots if I had booked in advance for the festive menu as there was a supply issue with carrots . I was not eating festive menu ... Many meals out of stock. Incredibly unhelpful server. Counter staff member was nice. No carrots is not a massive issue, but how it was dealt with was extremely poor and upsetting Vegetarian options: Refusex alternative when carrots not available
Been using this brewers fayre for years now, always ok food, service is good. However the site is looking very dated and needs a refreshing. Also carpark looks like a dumping ground for old carsFood: 4/5
We are here having a Sunday roast lunch, the place looks very clean, staffs are very helpful and cheerful. Tasty meats carvery and variety vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, cheese cauliflower and gravy. The good thing is the vegetables, roast potatoes and gravy are allow to top up, but not the meats that you can only go for one. That is enough for the whole day. I definitely will come back as price is very reasonable and good value for this economy. I recommend this place to other people.
Stopped here for lunch on our journey on holiday. Great food. Desserts delicious
Absolutely stunning meal for a somewhat reasonable price! I had the mixed grill, which was cooked to the way I like it. There was an option to have Sunday carvery but there wasn't much choice so we stuck with main meal. I also had s'mores for dessert, which tasted absolutely amazing. One criticism that i have of yhis restaurant is that the waitress who served us was very rude and ignorant young, long blonde hair tied back. We didn't understand what till was to order dinner and what to order dessert as I hadn't been in a branch since 2007. She called us over to the dessert till to order dinner and moaned at us very sarcastically when we said we wanted main meal. She said "that's why I asked you if you wanted dinner or dessert" even though she'd just let us in so she should know. She groaned at us and we lined up in the dinner till queue. The lady serving us was very polite and took us through what to do young, brown hair tied back and glasses. Apart from the charisma of the waitress, we had a lovely meal!!!
