I loved the place, it was really comfortable, clean, safe and very good located! It’s perfect to visit London and staying in budget. Plus it has everything you need to have a good stay. Supermarket is just front and getting to the Waterloo station is just a in walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Downsides: the bathrooms and showers have no heating and is really cold in winter. The train passes next to the the building so it is kind of noisy, but nothing that you cannot sleep on. I recommend it and I would comeback!
I absolutely do not recommend this hostel. It’s true that the price is really attractive considering the location but believe me it’s not worth the conditions you’ll face. -No lock in the toilets -Suspicious white substance on the toilet floor -One bathroom for 10+ more people men and women combined, yes, even if you booked a bed in a women only dormitory -Mold in the bathroom I get it, you cannot expect perfection for this price but it could at least be decent. It’s really disappointing because this hostel could be a very nice place if it was a bit more clean. In fact, the staff is nice and helpful, the kitchen is really nice, the beds are comfy too.
The hostel was pretty nice for the price. We had a private double room which offered some privacy, but you still had to share the bathroom with the other guests. The room had it's windows straight out over the tracks of Waterloo station, but the sound was manageable after closing the windows. The location is amazing with the Lower Marsh Street and all its restaurants and cafes. You can walk right towards the Thames and along it to catch all the attractions on the south bank or you can cross over Westminster bridge and walk towards Buckingham palace. Would definitely recommend, especially if you like to explore on foot.
If it weren't for the big problems, it really would be a great hostel. The location is absolutely fantastic, the train noises bother a lot of people at night but I loved them they are crazy loud though with the windows open, the codes for the doors are great, and the staff is super friendly. On the down side, our shower did not have working hot water. The shower on the floor below us was out of order. The shower on the floor below that was out of order, and the one next to it was constantly in use because none others could be used. The heat in our shower room didn't even work so it's not like you could offset the frigid water. Showering was a miserable experience to say the least. Bring an extension cord if you can too, because the outlets are an absolute nightmare. There was also no soap or hand sanitizer in the toilet room, which is fine if the shower room with the sink is open, but it rarely is. So gross. Over all, as it is right now, another hostel may serve you better until all that is fixed.
I' ve stayed here with a friend for two nights and we absolutely loved the place! The staff was awesome, we loved the breakfast deal and the night atmosphere. Beds were cozy and pretty warm, the whole place felt like a little home Loved it! Will come back for sure.
Great value for money, I arrived to a freshly made bed right next door to a nice communal kitchen, just opposite to what appeared to be brand new showers. There’s noise from the trains and traffic but to say that this location is central would be an understatement, you simply can’t get better for the price. It has a cosy bar downstairs that is discounted for guests, and was showing the World Cup on a large screen too!
Nice and cozy place. Near the underground station. Excellent place to stay for travellers. Nice little bar downstairs. Surprisingly clean bathrooms! Didn't expect that. The only downside is it's very close to Waterloo railway station, so if you are staying on the 4th floor, you can't ignore the sound. Closing the window helps. They have online check in, so you can come in late night.
Pretty disappointing. Too too loud as it is right to the train station. Lockers are pretty loud and there is not much space in the room as it’s overcrowded with beds. If you like hot shower, it’s not available in this establishment at least on the top floor. Location is great apart from the noise of the trains and it’s quite clean.. easy seamless check in. Worst hostel experience even so far.
Popped in for a pint and stayed for four! Great pub with a good atmosphere and excellent beer. My mate and I had a great laugh and really enjoyed the music as my friend used to be a DJ and was really good at knowing every song played. Much to my annoyance. Very close to Waterloo, indeed the trains were close above our heads and in the words of Dan Ackeroyd in The Blues Brothers, the trains past so often that you wouldn't even notice!
Nice Combo of Bar and Hostel. Easy check in, very friendly staff, daily cleaning. Some showers had no hot water and the nearby train action was quite loud, but still a good place for short stays.
