The Horse & Stables 122-124 Westminster Bridge Rd, London SE1 7RW  Lambeth North  £6.30 Brew by Numbers 32 A laid back Waterloo local. . The Horse & Stables is located near a busy intersection not far from Waterloo Station. The nearest Tube is Lambeth North which is just around the corner. . This place dates from the early 19th century, originally known as the Horse & Groom for Wm. Younger & Co. There have been a couple of name changes in recent years, The Horse in 2007, then The Horse & Stables in 2014. . The decor here is traditional with a few contemporary touches here and there. This is a medium size one bar pub which has a simple but good size servery on the left hand side. There is plenty of seating throughout the pub, my favourite area was the oldschool booth with the Georgian panelling and brown velour seat covers. Opposite the servery are a group of comfy booths with stylish wallpaper above and large gold framed mirrors across the wall. . The beer choice was keg craft focused and included brews by local London breweries. After some guidance from the nice chap behind the ramp, I decided on a pint of 32 lager by @brewbynumbers . This was my first pint of 32 and I really enjoyed it, price point was just above average. There is a traditional pub grub menu with an American influence. . I visited around 5pm on Coronation day back in May. On entering the pub, there was a relaxing vibe and a overall lovely atmosphere. The soundtrack was an eclectic mix from the Bee Gees to rare groove soul, loved it. The service was great, the chap behind the bar was very welcoming, courteous and as mentioned earlier helpful in choosing a beer. . The @horseandstables was a very enjoyable visit most notably for the friendly and welcoming feel here. The beer selection was good and the food receives positive reviews. This pub is definitely worth a visit for any occasion. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 06/05/23
Very friendly service, the food is good and fish and chip's fish was huge. The fish tacos were good and not like the tacos we're used to. The draft beer was also good and big. The atmosphere is cozy and hip. Plus, the restroom had cute antique style to it. Lol
Great appetizers and good drinks. Fish and chips and bangers an mash was very good, but the do leave the skin one side if the fish when they fry it.
Writing the review at nearly 2AM as I couldn't sleep because of the noise from the pub downstairs reaching a maximum of 65dB. Nothing is good in this hostel - bed curved mattress, can feel the metal of the bed under it, tiny toilet, tiny shower, wrong information in the leaflet given at the time of check in free tea, coffee and buiscuits mentioned anytime but was asked to pay for it. Shouldn't stay for free here.
Finally some proper Belgian fries in London! The burger is also very nice, not sorry Patty you get in most other pubs. Definitely would come back.
The burgers were awesome! And the beer too. The place is lovely and the people who runs it were very cordial and kind to us. If you are near westminster I highly reccomend that you spend some time in this place.
I went there in the early afternoon for a cider. Really quite place with nice music. I gave only 4 stars because they have only 2 ciders options.
This pub is the greatest. Lovely staff, great beers and food. Check out the events in their top room - Rhymes With Orange just relocated there.
What a lovely pub! Didn't expect it to be so cute and cozy. Had the charcuterie board which was the best we've ever been served!
