I was here on Monday 16th June for a wedding reception. It's a very nice venue. The food was nice. The toilets are clean and stocked with free wines essentials. The staff were really friendly too.

We popped into this pub Tuesday night 6th January to get help with a taxi phone number from Ongar to Chelmsford as last bus had gone. It was very cold that night! We had a lovely hot cup of tea for only a £1 each with a delightful wafer biscuit while we waited for the taxi they ordered to come. Thank you so much for your kindness.
We had my wife's mums wake here today, Graham was great, explained what the buffet would include, all the staff were helpful and polite, the food was lovely and great little country, and Homely pub.nThx to all the staff for making a sad day a bit more bearable.
Lovely little pub visited after our Santa special train ride. Was lovely and festive & staff very friendly!
