After living in Texas for 30 years it’s always good to come back to the UK and get a good Indian meal. This one far exceeded expectations and was delivered with excellent service.nnOur party of 4 had an amazing meal and experience at The Coriander. It was a hot day out and the restaurant was cool and comfortable. The food experience started with the lime pickle being the nicest we’d ever tasted and continued through the entrees. The lamb was tasty and succulent, the chicken dish was fragrant, the sag paneer was amazing. Everyone enjoyed every dish.
I never leave reviews after poor food experiences, I just don’t go again. But this one has annoyed me enough to leave a review.nnWe eat in on a Sunday 5pm. Looked like they were clearing away buffet trays as we arrived from their Sunday lunch. We ordered normally from the menu receipt attached food was served very quick! Chicken tikka starter, not sizzling one bit when arrived, looked cold and bland. First red flag. All other dishes arrived, nothing seemed piping hot at all. After tucking in, there may have been three pieces of edible chicken out of three separate dishes. All dishes were warm. Kids ordered chips on the side, which were so saturated with oil I refused to let them have it. Waiter asked how everything was, and I gave my honest opinion! The chicken in all dishes was inedible and littering the edges of our plates. He offered to make another, but I refused! If you can’t get it right on three different dishes, whats another one gonna do! Anyway, I reckon our order was scraped together and reheated from the left over buffet dishes. It’s the only logical explanation for such bad quality. In this day and age, you need to be doing a hell off a lot better then that garbage they just serviced us. Oh on a good note! They removed a dish from the bill, NOT! Looks like they simply added costs on other items to cover it. Anyway, to sum it up, poor quality produce, we won’t be returning.nIf you’re looking for good quality, I recommendation Cinnamon & Tanishq, very good food.
The Coriander Onger branch is 10 out of 10.nAll food was delicious, we had starter Chicken Tikka, Lamb Tikka, Salmon fish tikka Unique dish jal chicken Puri, Lamb chop, Tandoori Prawns, Sheek kebab.nMain course was Tandoori spicy biryani, Sag King prawn, Tarka Dal, chicken jal freeze and chief spacial unique dish Maharaja Lam curry. Served with Naan, rice and fresh salad.nVery tasty food, if I say short cut delicious. I recommend everyone should visit this restaurant. All staff, chief and owner are very friendly also.nI'll go again definitely.nThis restaurant very well decorated, classic building and very clean also.nThanks
Faultless. My first visit to this restaurant tonight with pals and I was impressed. Very reasonably priced menu with a superb array of dishes to suit all tastes. Great waiting service from very attentive staff, nothing was too much. I suppose I’d better take the wife with me next time.
Went here for dinner last night. Bit of a strange atmosphere with the staff there polite but also rude at the same time like interrupting conversations and leaning over us whilst we’re talking etc a little strange but not the end of the world. Food was okay nothing special but when we left 30 minutes later i was throwing up violently and kept going hot and cold with uncontrollable shaking. Maybe a one off as can’t see any other reviews of this kind but i definitely ate something i probably shouldn’t have done. Personally i wont be risking it again they will probably say we never ate there to get out of it but proof is attached. AVOID
