Does basic pub things well helped by location and building. Decent selection of beers wines etc. However the food is not up to scratch for its price point. 7.50 for pigeon wings and 7.75 for 6 sticks!? of calamari is a bit much.
Cozy and charming, but food was a bit of a letdown. Fish and chips was good, but the mushy peas were extremely salty, like someone accidentally dumped the whole salt shaker in it. I don’t drink so I can’t speak to the drinks. Others in my party had the pasta and the pot pies which looked great. For a non drinker who doesn’t care for salty peas, 2 Brewers gets 3 stars
Good location and vibe but food can be improved seriously. Most of the items we ordered were unappetizing and lack any sort of flavour and frankly basic care garlic bread was like store brought bread with garlic butter. Burger was just bun with a patty and some cheese and no accompaniments even basic thing like lettuce
The Two Brewers pub is a welcoming and cozy pub. The pub has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the selection of drinks is amazing. The pub is well worth a visit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat and drink in Marlow.
Watch your head in this cool old pub. The venue is the highlight. The beer is weak on the abv side, but that seems to be prevalent. I was disappointed the scotch egg was not available. I did have the pork pie 3/5 and the sausage roll 4/5.
Great location and beers. Very pricey and poor quality food offering. Has huge potential though! Some suggestions: - have more guest ales. Rebellion is great but some variety please. - cheaper and more interesting food, maybe host some pop ups. - make the outside area a nicer place to stay, more planting to make it feel less like a car park.
Came here Friday for our Christmas work dinner. The food was amazing the staff were very attentive and went above and beyond as a few of our dinners had allergies and were fussy eaters. The food arrived on time and hot, our plates were cleared as soon as we finished and the desserts were to die for. Whole atmosphere was great lots of Christmas decorations and the little things such as santa hats and crackers were left on our table! We will definitely see you next year
It's not difficult to do a good roast, create a nice atmosphere and serve your customers well.....so why do some places fail so miserably to do this? We did not have the best experience to be honest three adults, four teens. Stuffy room upstairs where no-one had thought to open a window a little. Music so loud that it was hard to hold a conversation, when I asked to turn it down a little, it went off altogether. Roast arrived luke warm. I had chosen the pork with the lure of crispy crackling....none appeared. When I asked I was greeted with "No, we don't have any", no apology or explanation. My husband chose the mushroom wellington....but was told they had no pastry, it arrived as a weird looking sloppy mess. Roast potatoes tasted re-heated and stiff. Parsnips were pale and insipid, not 'roasted', carrots and cabbage were fine. Gravy quite obviously from granules. We had to ask for cutlery and sauces and there was no courtesy check. Needless to say, we shan't be back any time soon!
Sunday roast in the evening can sometimes not be great due to the time the food has been standing. On this occasion it was great food, choose the lamb shank which was amazing with lots of meat on the bone which fell apart. Veg & potatoes were crisp and hot & the gravy was how it should be. couldn’t ask for a nicer meal.
Went there today for Father’s Day really nice oldie type interior pub plenty of seating outside to. The food was very very nice I had cauliflower wings with salsa sauce to start with, my son and daughter had calamari sticks with garlic mayo sauce. For maincourse me and my son both had butternut squash tarte roast, my other son and daughter had the chicken roast, for pudding we had brownie orange and ice cream which was both vegetarian and vegan. Service was great parking a little bit of a problem as there is no parking close by, toilets very clean but small. The whole meal in total along with drinks came to £122, drinks were diet Coke pint of beer tap water and Appletizer along with two latte coffee’s
