A 15th century pub house serving local brews. A quaint atmosphere inside but unfortunately they don’t serve any food, except pizza which is also not always served. But a great place to hang out if it’s only for drinks.
Nice pub, great theme. Young staff, but rough round the edges but guess will improve with time!
We visited The Ship last evening and ended up staying until closing. What a lovely place. Friendly staff, great selection of cocktails, beers and wines, good mix of clientele and various areas to enjoy the old wordiness of the pub and towards the rear the DJ was really good too spinning some cool dance tracks. The Security guys were also decent. present but not overbearing. Overall a great night out, We'll be back !
While I'm sure it's fine during the day, at night it gets severely crowded which is too much for its limited indoor space and small dance floor to handle. Bouncers on the door can be incredibly rude and like to power play, kicking people out of the queue for ridiculous reasons. Does not deliver the welcoming entrance you would hope for. Would probably go back again during the day as the overall aesthetic of the place does seem pleasant, but never again at night.
Nice cosy pub with very low ceilings and exposed beams. I saw a fireplace, but it looked like it was gas powered and therefore with energy prices as they are, it was off. Probably a good idea to change it for a DEFRA approved wood fired log burner.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great servings and fair prices. Great offering of different beers and drinks. When sun is out, the seating out back is perfect for lunch. Lunch-menu is short, but good, and contains the most essential dishes. It's been twenty years since I last was on board The Ship. Nice to see that it is still afloat and well maintained
The external of the building advertises food but there is none. When we enquired about it, the young girl behind the counter was rude, rolling her eyes and clearly wasn't happy being there. The venue itself is quite dark inside, to be expected with the low ceilings and the ship like decor. The garden area is nice and plenty of seating. Although it wasn't particularly busy when we went maybe a result of the service.
Lovely 16th century pub with an amazing atmosphere and there was great live music while we were there. Would definitely recommend a visit
Great pub, great beer and lovely staff. The kitchen wasn't on when we went but they offered that we go over the road and bring our own food which I thought was lovely. Well worth a trip, the building is super old but is in great condition inside.
The Ship and its staff and residents is always a treat, On the tap you'll find some internationals eg. Peroni but the best of it all is that they serve fresh from the local Marlow Brewery! The finest and freshest beer I've ever had ;-
