Outstanding each And every time and very much worthy the drive from London. The food is superb. The service is great. Not a fault! They now have a GF menu. The fish and chips was delicious. Thin and crispy batter fried in a clean/fresh oil served with triple fried thick chips, mushy peas and a tartare sauce. The burger is cooked to perfection and comes with french fries and cole slaw. Thank you, again, and until next time. Highly recommended
This is the perfect place for an amazing lunch or dinner, beautiful food, great choice of drinks fabulous service, dog friendly and surrounded by gorgeous walks near the Thames. I had the tempura chilli fried squid which was so tender and delicately crispy, followed by a chicken BLT burger in a seeded brioche… such a treat as we sat by the fire while my dog begged for some bacon :
Excellent attentive, friendly service. Had a double stroller and the team were very accommodating for two young babies. Cosy, intimate dining room and most importantly, excellent food. Cured belly pork with Asian glaze was a highlight for me. Highly recommend the journey to this place.
Anywhere more perfect for a sunny lunch than a dog friendly village pub serving seriously good food looking picturesque for Instagram? Feeling like an extra from Midsomer Murders!!
Always great food and service. It's halfway between in-laws and ours and near brother-in-law's so been here many times now for family birthdays. Food is always excellent, service friendly and puts up with dogs and toddlers in a side room so not ruining lunch for everyone else. Can't fault it.
A good decision to eat. We had a fantastic Lunch. A perfect break during our trip in England in October. Very friendly staff and good service. Great menu and food. A break here that is worthwhile.
Lovely Sunday roast. The food quality is impressive, they serve not a gravy but proper red wine jus. Service is superb.
It was my third or fourth visit and always happy to have a meal there. The interior is not modernised like other places but that is why it is so cosy and looking like from a wonderland. Very nice staff and food is just delicious. I always feel like I can order something new and taste completely different dish. I have no words ... it is just amazing.
Lovely old country pub at the end of a country lane. Worth a visit if in the area for food and drinks and a warm fire! Good tasty and service friendly.
Great local pub! Have been a number of times now. Delicious food and Friendly services - what more could you want? It's also lovely to sit outside in the garden!
