Interesting historic working tramway and museum within Heaton Park located between Manchester and Bury very cheap to travel on with the option of a round trip ticket or for a few quid more unlimited travel all day. Tramway is only about 1/2 mile long so it doesn't take much time to traverse the whole route. Very photogenic and fun with the museum one end and a lake at the other end.
Amazing! Totally loved our little ride on the trams, the incredible work all the volunteers have done to restore and maintain the arrive is wonderful. A great opportunity to step back in time and teach kids about yester'year. Highly recommended.
I went there with my friends to have a picnic. My friend and I explored all parts of the park. We were amazed with the tram museum in the center of the park. We enjoyed visiting the place and showed the history of the tram and it's transformation.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
It was fantastic. My husband absolutely loved getting to test drive a tram as it was dream of him. Also getting to visit the engine shed was cool. Dave was full of interesting information. Its definitely worth a visit
A small museum near the Middleton Road entrance to the park. During the summer months, you can ride the beautiful old trams from the museum to the boating lake and back. Great experience and really friendly staffVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Brilliant visit to the Heaton Park Tramway and Transport Museum this afternoon. Had an excellent ride on the tram to finish the season. The volunteers are really knowledgable and were brilliant with our children. Will definitely visit again.
Excellent tramtastic day out yesterday. Lots of trams to ride throughout the day at a very reasonable price - just £5 allowing you to hop on and off as often as you like. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are happy to tell you the history of the individual tramcars. Great little shop and museum as well.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A superb tramway running between the park's Middleton Road gates and Boating Lake at weekends during the spring, summer and early autumn, Sundays only in October. It's, operated by a small group of friendly, dedicated volunteers using beautifully preserved vintage trams. It runs along a variety of scenic sections with handy stops/pick ups along the way. The Boating Lake has a cafe area with good toilet facilities. The tramway also has a museum and shop. I was treated to a 5 hour tram driving experience for my birthday... it was excellent, I was made very welcome.
Park is too awesome to spend your day you will get refreshed and kids can enjoy a lot with the Playground area. You should see the Tram museum and there is fair from 09th Feb 2019 and you should attend this for rides and attractions....
