Do purchase a ticket online for some savings. A good slow view will take you 1hr to complete. Tour is perfect for any football fan that comes to Manchester for a visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
If you love football, this is the place to visit. Great for all the family. However, the information on articles and memorabilia is difficult to read, and the lighting of displays is poor. The staff are very helpful, but getting the displays right would be a massive improvement. Simple things like 'women's football' needed to be together and concise with helpful and full information... after all, it's the biggest growing area in the sport.
Enjoyed this one afternoon with my 12 Yr old son. Plenty to see and learn then plenty of games to keep my lad interested. Penalty shoot out, passing drills, reaction tests. Would certainly advise a visit if you have any interest in football. Only 4 stars as I felt there could be a few more interactive exhibits but then it is pretty good value for money.
Nice collection of memorabilia. It is a self guided tour, but the staff does provide stations where you can see and feel some of the items from the museum. They are also interactive zones for kids and adults alike. I was pleased to see that the museum has exhibits on how racism has negatively affected football but also shares stories of players who have overcome that diversity. Even though there is no place for racism anywhere, they make the viewer aware that it exists and still needs to be addressed, probably even more today. I really like the exhibits on the history of Women's football.
Visited here in a time long past. It's a great place to visit and there's lots to see and do. The museum was neat and tidy, even the toilets were nice and clean. They accept voluntary donations which I recommend. They had little football themed games and galleries when I went. Every visit is different so it's worth taking multiple trips there if you're ever in the area.
Interesting place, worth to visit. Staff were helpful and we've tried a lot of fun activities. Recommend people all ages.
Seriously, this was a must. It’s pitted towards the English football fan on many ways, but certainly not exclusively. I’m a Scot living in Australia and I found it entertaining and fascinating. Delves into the past without being to nostalgic and some great up to date items. I went with my kids - 6,9 and 11 and all had fun. Special shout out to the guy on “reception” who, on hearing I was a Smiths Fan, highlighted some places I had never been to in Manchester that played tribute or were orchestral in their rise. He even came over as we were leaving with more facts, but not in an intrusive way whatsoever.
As a football soccer coach and fan, my wife and I stopped by here to check out some history. It was located in a nice area surrounded by shopping malls, restaurants, pubs, and entertainment. There weren't too many people in when we visited so we had the opportunity to use the interactive exhibits most of which were free, you just had to grab the ticket hanging on the lanyard next to the scanners to use. My wife and I had a great time and got a good work out in using the interactive exhibits such as the passing, shooting, and penalty blocker games. Great place to take the kids as they will be napping good after.
It's a nice enough place. A lot of interesting history of football. I was disappointed at the giftshop. Its like the museum of football in the UK they should have so many more teams t-shirtsVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
