Story

The Three Legged Cross was previously a large working farmhouse, sitting within an 83 acre estate, the pub-restaurant maintains the look of the original building. Sadly for the original owner, records show that the inn was sold in 1919 for the equivalent of £83 - just £1 per acre!
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

The first time we visited it was outstanding. Food was amazing but service was a little off the mark with the orders not seeming to follow the menu but rather mixing toppings around etc. The second time we visited the food was sub standard in part we think because of how busy it was. In all though, family friendly, good food and lovely setting.

The car park was a bit confusing but the pub is delightful. A great atmosphere on entering and very competent staff. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (total bill for 6 people - most of us had three courses + a round of drinks was £150). I had the sea bass with asparagus on a bed of crushed potatoes with a lobster sauce and it was excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and the waitress was happy to tweak the dishes for us (no cheese on the hunters chicken for example). If I had one complaint it would be that the menu's were creased and had sticky bits on them which is something I hate because of the germs. Overall a fabulous evening and we'll definitely go back.

Food was good. It took over an hour to recieve our order it was almost as though we had been forgotten. The toilet facilities were not very clean. The hand dryer was out of order, the toilet would not flush. Disappointing visit as we have been before and had excellent service and had no complaints before.

Absolutely brilliant place to eat. Great food, great staff, your not rushed. Good choice of food. And good value. Staff happy to help. With anything. Always best to book first. Always busy. Will be going back soon

Great food and when the weather is good a great place for Al fresco dining. Would definately recommend.
