Nice pub, typical pub food, had brown toasted beef sandwich/sliced tomato/pickle/mustard, with chips ,cost £9.45. Had a pint of cider, cost £5.25.
Just called in for a G&T off the bus from Bournemouth, down from Birmingham and over from Australia! It’s been a long day!nNice and warm at the pub and good service at the pub. Nice friendly service and good atmosphere.nDog friendly and it looks like a well laid out pub. Front and rear seating, restaurant seating, bar and indoor lounge.nOnly a short visit but I liked what I saw.
A busy place on a Sunday lunchtime. The decor is warm & inviting & the atmosphere is great. Shame that the service was disappointing - long waits for food/drink orders to be taken & a couple of times we were seemingly forgotten about. All but one of the roasts on offer had sold out & the quality of the food wasn't stimulating.
Went on a wednesday evening for my dads birthday and the service was absolutely awful. Never came to our table to take any food or drinks order and the staff were so incompetent they put whiskey in my mothers spiced rum. After 40 minutes of waiting we left and when my father tried to complain about the service, the manager ignored him and stuck his head in the sand.nThis is just a shame as it has always been a decent pub but has seemingly been brought down due to poor management.
Lovely food, amazing mix of ages socialising. Music was interesting and relaxing. The staff were so accommodating with my temporary back pain too -at 54 you want to get to an accessible loo!nnThe only slight irritation was the visibility of the hedge on the right as we left the car park
