If you want a warm welcome, a jovial "mine host", relaxed surroundings, great choice of beers and good service then The Tavistock Inn has to be experienced. Whilst I did not have chance to try the food the menu had plenty of choice. Well worth a visit!

What a great pub close to the town centre and with an excellent food menu. Good choice of real ales can be drunk while looking at the pictures of old film stars adorning the walls. Nice and friendly landlord and locals make this a place to visit.

my husband and i had a lovely meal this evening steak was done perfectly to our order and we loved the homemade chips welcoming was fantastic landlord really polite  and made sure we were happy and the chef was great the pub was lovely and warm and cozy defenetly will recommend and will be visiting again soon

Beautifully quirky pub full of interesting antiques and atmosphere. Menu more upmarket than usual pub food. Utterly different and charming host. Recommended.
