Beautiful setting with a lovely garden especially on a sunny day. They're a bit over zealous in their attitude towards children though with numerous signs warning children to behave and not to enter certain areas of the beer garden. Not the most welcoming of staff either but then maybe it had simply been a long bank holiday weekend for them all.

Nice food.not spectacular. Went for mothers day but was asked to leave after an hour and a half .spent a lot of money table of 7.very disappointed as we actually booked a table3 weeks in advance of mothers day.Shocking behaviour ..would not recommend on principle. Plenty of other places locally to explore, would not recommend to friends or relatives!

I share the opinion of Sue Garland....we did NOT arrive 40 mins late...that is untrue. We arrived at 1.15pm....the table was booked for 1pm. Sue Garland and family were already sat at the table. I was helping my disabled mother from the car park into the pub...this took some time (5/10 mins max) as she is in a lot of pain....so I don't know where the 40 mins comes from! The waitress simply didn't have a clue what to do when we objected to the request to move....it was unfair of her to have been asked to ask us..... then staff were making a point of moving tables around us! .......very odd.... as other people around us commented too! The food was over priced and the menu was limited. #won'tgothereagain. 😈😕

Visited here about 3 years back. Got attacked by owners dog. Quite unsuitable animal. Owners were away and staff very unhelpful. Had it been a child would have been facial injuries. Certainly wouldn't visit again.
