this has a good menu and great value for money, but if you're looking for a quiet Sunday afternoon lunch this isn't the place. Couldn't hear our friends over the table due to the 'live music' and the noise from the gaming machine and bar! The benches on the cliff top would be amazing in summer but wouldn't go back because of the ambiance, the food was fine...! shame !

Lovely big portions... delicious food.... Lovely welcoming staff ... and a relaxed and nicely decorated setting. A lovely pub and restaurant. I'm a regular customer xx

What can I say? Truely awful experience! Went out with my Uncle, who is a regular and the service and staff were shocking. Waited so long for the starters, wrong main meal was brought out, 20 minutes to get the replacement baguette. Waitress made mistakes with the order, no apology! The whole experience lasted 2.5 hours, for starters, mains and desert! Asked to speak to a Manager, not in, at home. Supervisor not in, at home! They eventually called the Manager at home to offer discount, which wasn't taken off the bill TWICE! One member of staff was so rude that she needs to be replaced, bad attitude, ignorant, took my receipt abruptly. The place was quiet, so no exvuse for tge wait time.... We won't be going back there ever again. Avoid and go elsewhere.

I have never ever received such an appalling service. Spend 3.5h hours there. Took them 30 minutes to get the starters out even though the restaurant was empty and we could see the chef just wondering around doing nothing! Took another 40 minutes to get the mains, my partner ordered the steak that you can cook yourself. The smoke from the stone and the steak set off fire alarm and we all had to evacuate and 2 minutes later we have been sent back to the restaurant with the alarm still screaming because staff had no idea how to turn it off. I have ordered baguette with steak but not onions, then first time the brought out a burger. Had to send it away as this wasnt what I ordered. Then they brought the baguette WITH ONION. I have asked them just to take out the onion which took them another 15 minutes and STILL had onion when they returned it!! We were a table of five and all guests have finished their food and I still waited for mine. We complained and they called the manager who was at home! and decided that they will remove the baguette from the bill and offered free desert. .The brownie that was served was undercooked and mushy. Deserts took ages to turn up and when we asked for a bill. The baguette and desert was still on bill. When mentioned to Amy, the red headed waiter she LITERALLY SNATCHED THE RECEIPT from my partners hand and rolled Her eyes on us. She returned with "new" receipt which had the same items and the original!! We will be getting in touch the owner/manager to discuss the situation and let him/her know that kind of staff s/he employs and how they behave when there are no supervisors around. AVOID IF YOU WANT TO SPEND HALF A DAY TO GET THE FOOD AND STILL GET NOT WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!!

Just passing today with my niece & thought we'd pop in for some food. I've been a chef for quite a few years & it was excellent. Friendly staff, quick service. Highly recommend.
