Utter bin of a shop - been in there numerous times cardboard on the floor, stuff everywhere, nothing on shelfs also one of the team stinks of BO! Which makes a change from the stagnant smell which is usually present
the chocolate cookies are brilliant, the walk back home is 15 minutes so I always come back empty handed for some reason. Anyways, good ol Tesco!
Good range of products despite the size of the store. The self service tills rarely work with the clubcard qr on the app, often not scanning and missing out points. The nfc card payments machine often doesn't detect the phone despite other shops having no issues.nTesco isn't as competitively priced as other shops. Eg, coop 5 items for £6. Tesco, 3 items for £6.
Awful, awful staff. I cannot think of a place I have walked into in recent years with more of a hostile classroom environment where the staff are treating the place like a social club and clogging the tiny walkways finishing their personal gossip, rather than getting out of the way of shoppers.nAll the staff, particularly the younger women and one young man have constant sullen expressions even when you approach them at the till and you really get made to feel you are an inconvenience just by shopping there. Not sure smiling, or 'good morning/afternoon' is on the regional induction course.nnIn agreement with another review on this page, I have also found the COVID-19 measures being taken in this store to be incredibly confusing I do appreciate the store is small and these are difficult times for everyone and when you potentially initially don't understand them, staff seem to become incredibly aggressive and snappy, instead of helpful or explanatory.
