The Swan
"Once upon a time, The Swan was destined to cease trading and plans were in place for the building to be replaced by a supermarket. After heavy petitioning from the community, the pub was kept alive with the support of Halesowen Council and purchased by Black Country Ales. With 16 hand pulls including 5 ciders, The Swan has been returned to its rightful place within the Halesowen community. The interior contains two coal fires, and outside is a spacious beer garden and a heated smoking shelter with live sports."

Had a try of Mallinson's Chinook and decided on one with a cheese and onion cob for £6. Good ale and a filling cob. I did consider a pork pie, but the cobs looked huge and won the battle of choices. TV on the walls, not sure how how many and a real fire. Good music, great cheese and onion cob and a good choice of ales and ciders. Parking is available on the street and in the tiny frontage car park.
A brilliant well run Black Country Ales Pub. This is a great example of how the smaller pub should be ran. It has a choice of cobs, pies as well as crisps. Cobs are excellent well filled of cheese and onion, ham salad cheese and ham as well as cheese salad sauces ae available too. Coffee is available. There are always a great choice of Ales available and you can expect upto to 11 Ales on tap. Including at least 3 Black Country Ales and upto 9 guest ales. There are usually 5 Ciders on tap too ranging from 4% to in excess of 7.5%. Guinness and Lagers as well as your usual spirits etc available. Air con inside and a large garden out the back. With a separate smoking area. Darts board as well as Sky Sports showing. Plenty of places to sit. Super friendly staff as well as locals. Rich is very happy to bring your drinks over once ordered and they have settled a really great touch and a top bloke too. An absolutely brilliant place to visit everytbing a great local pub should be.
This Black Country Ales pub on Long Lane Blackheath in the Black Country is good for an evening pint.. For a Tuesday night it was quite busy probably because there was a West Bromwich Albion game on the TV. I especially enjoyed the peach cider and had a couple of pints of that as the Missus Mary dropped me and my two friends and picked us up. My friends both had a couple of pints of the Black Country Ales mild "Pig on the Wall" which they enjoyed and off course we had 2 or 3 bags of pork scratchings to enjoy with our beer and cider
Great atmosphere. No pre-booking needed but there's limited parking and no cooked food. Snacks and fresh ham cheese baps were available.
Nice pub, outdoor seating is pretty good. Plenty of space under cover which is especially nice if you want to be outside but it's raining.
Very warm welcome here. All the staff engage with you and are very polite. The cobs are outstanding too.
As expected from black country ales, nicely refurbished interior, traditional design... Spacious beer garden. Friendly staff and a good selection of ales and ciders, they could do with a lesson on topping the glass up tho,,, they serve with plenty of head. ; All round good pub.
Lovely real ale pub nice n cosy .. barman needs to be more friendly he's a bit miserable ..
Brilliant pub with good selection of beers, ciders and spirits. Lovely beer garden and good atmosphere.
Lovely local pub!! A great selection of ciders and ales plus the best cobs!
