I received a warm welcoming upon arrival. I instantly took a liking into the scenery as it is very clean and tidy. The staff are great and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are enjoying yourself. I had a lovely time with my other half and shall be coming back very soon.
In the past have had many pleasant visits to this pub, unfortunately tonight's visit was pretty lacking. Food took over an hour to be served, to be fair the staff were friendly enough and I felt sorry for them - appeared to have been understaffed and rushed off their feet. Food itself wasn't awful per se but sadly below the usual higher standards here. Great portion size, but the steak was rather cold. Asked for medium rare, yet most if it was well done.
Friendly service from the male member of the team. Tried a couple of ales, To Rocking Rudolph wasn't too clever. Food looks good enough to try and will give it a go if I return. Plenty of parking, but turning right on to the A458 needs patience. Not sure if there's live entertainment
First time here, the only reason why we went here because every time we went passed it the smell from the restaurant was amazing. So all i can say food was amazing and the dessert was epic
We had just got back from holiday over 6 hours in traffic, needed some great food to end what was quite a frustrating day on the motorway. Food was delicious, service was faultless. They had a couple of new waitresses I had not seen before their manners and service was brilliant! I'd recommend the Mexican burger challenge to anyone! It was really good, also came with a 25% discount on challenges on a Friday!
Went at about 3pm today Wednesday Both members of staff on duty were exceptionally friendly and offered great service. Unfortunately, the food was not to the same standard. Ordered 2 sirloin steaks, one medium and one medium-well done. Both came out over-cooked, dry and were completely tasteless. Had obviously been under the hot plates for a while as the sizzling skillet was certainly not sizzling for us. I ordered a peppercorn sauce which looked like water and seemed to have bits of mushrooms in; disappointingly this was also tasteless. When staff asked how our meal was, we were honest and she was extremely apologetic, offered to replace the sauce which she admitted did not look how it should, but at that point, I'd eaten over the half the steak so no point. She said she would let the manager know. We never saw the manager, apparently, she was busy in her office. The pub was nicely done out and they had started decorating for Halloween. As mentioned previously, the staff were fabulous, but the food was tasteless, and manager seemingly didn't care. Very disappointing
Myself and my son have just come home after eating in your restaurant. We ordered at the bar and were very surprised when within a short wait we were served by Sarah who was super friendly. The meal was very nice but unfortunately after eating it all we just hadn't enough room to eat one of your desserts although we may try one next time.
Had a lovely evening here today, the staff were incredibly kind and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the food was lovely. The Chocolate torte was absolutely divine! Could do with a few more vegetarian options please as that was very limited, but the chickpea burger was very tasty. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would
Fantastic service and experience at the Lutley Oak. Kirsty, Quincey and the team were a joy as always
The pub itself feels like a local and homely. Customers that attended there seemed to be welcoming and friendly. The only thing that let it down is one of the bar staffs attitude and lack of attention to our conversation, as they opened a bottle and proceeded with payment when I never asked for that specific drink.
