Lovely oldy worldy local pub , very well staffed warm and welcoming, good selection of food and drink . We visited on a very hot day and because it is a stone built building with thick walls it was lovely and cool inside . There is also plenty of outdoor seating available.
Absolutely amazing carvery for only £12 Definitely recommend, friendly staff, great variety of beers, lovely food, fantastic beer garden.
What can I say! Absolutely beyond pleased with our visit too the Sun Inn. We had the Carvery which was beautiful, meat was all cooked to perfection, veggies and potatoes again cooked to perfection, added extra of having the cheese sauce was great staff all friendly and helpful, the pub itself is situated in an picturesque area, the ambiance of the pub was second to none, comforting with the log fires, services great! And what great prices would have happily paid for for our carvery given how delicious and tasty it was. Can't wait for our next visit to The Sun Inn! Thank you guys!!
Absolutely amazing food and all home made which made it even better. We usually struggle for vegetarian options but this place have that covered. Great food, great service, friendly staff. We will be back soon.
Stopped in here during a walk round Fewston and Swinsty. Great fire, they allow dogs and did a nice pint of black sheep.
An excellent Sunday carvery which for £12 is an absolute bargain. We sat near an open fire which made the pub toasty and warm. Recommend.
I reserved a table for a big party of adults and children. I was meeting my friends who'd travelled from the North East and I from the North West. The staff member when I booked was so helpful and arranged to seat us in the pool table room, which was perfect. The carvery itself was lovely and it was so well-organised, with getting your food at intervals, rather than all queuing up. The bar staff and waitresses were really friendly and helpful, especially the lady who helped us arrange the tables! My only criticism is that a reserved sign was put down on our table after only an hour and a half. At that point we'd not even ordered desserts, so the last part of the meal was rather rushed. The people waiting for the table had arrived early too, so kept staring over as if waiting for us to move. Perhaps let your customers know if there is a time limit on the table, or perhaps give more time in between covers, especially with a big table with lots of kids! Some very slow eaters! Despite this, I'd definitely still go back!
My favourite pub - mainly for the food. Proper pub food - so nice and chilled. Great place to go after a local walk. Neil and Fiona are just so lovely. Always welcoming. We love it here. Thank you
Very atmospheric. In a lovely location gr8 for sitting outside in good weather only stayed for one drink but prices were v reasonable and the young lady that served us was v attentive as to how I wanted my drink served...it was perfect.
Regular haunt for us very friendly pub food is first class good selection of starters, mains sweets and light bites food is on from 6pm. Pool table is spot on, if your feeling cold don't worry they have a big log burner and 2 open fires.
