Went for a couple of pints and was impressed. Good selection of ales and all well kept. Pub was rustic and had a nice fire to warm up after we got soaked on a hike
Gem of a rural pub, great drink selection and food menu. If you get to go here in the summer I'll be jealous as the seating area to the back looks over the hills and is just beautiful.Service: 5/5
The food was outstanding, and the choice of wines was excellent, when you consider that this pub is ''tucked out of the way'' in the village of Dacre, in the Yorkshire Dales. What a lovely original interior, be it small, but very friendly. It's your proper local, as pubs used to be years ago, yes, I'm 75 this year, so can qualify that statement. Their chips are to die for, but overall the food is just great, and freshly cooked to order. We will 'be back'.
Always a good do at the Royal Oak, Staff are polite and attentive, brilliant warm welcoming atmosphere couldn't wish for a better pub. Food is awesome, credit to the chefs! Love it! We will be back !!Rooms: 5/5
What a great pub. Enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast here. Food fantastic, ample portions with lots of vegetables. Staff friendly. So glad we saw the sign from the main road driving back home after a long walk and took a chance. Highly recommend.
Lovely friendly little pub, very cosy. Food was excellent, good portion size, well cooked and thought out for perfect flavours. All served in a timely fashion and excellent service. Definitely one to visit, I will be again.
Visited for a quick lunch. Had two fish dishes from the specials board. Well presented and beautifully cooked. Good side veg. With a pint of beer and a large wine the bill came to around £55
Lovely setting, food decent. Opened at 2pm but the landlord was still boiling up. It would have been a better visits if the cats were not wandering around and sitting next to us begging for food.Service: 4/5
My son booked this pub as he had been there before, we all had Sunday lunches which we're all delicious, we all had a pudding too which we're yummy.. All staff attentive and friendly. My son booked especially to see the cats!!! we we're not disappointed they came out side to visit us... This made our day and Max is our favorite... Thanks so much guys we had a lovely afternoon... from the Harris family..
The perfect pub to find at the end of a long walk. Great friendly welcome and service, spacious outside area, a fantastic range of draught beers and lagers, and an excellent wide ranging menu. I settled on a sausage and onion bap, with chips and some Cajun spiced onion rings. Absolutely top notch.
