Starters were good, but no better than a fairly good pub. Steaks were good quality meat but not treated as well as they deserve. Decent selection of wine which is reasonably priced and ok selection of local bitters/ales but only continental lagers. Such a shame. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and fantastic high ceilings. Overall, ok but could do better with more attention to detail, better notice on service after initial seating and more pride in the quality meat that's been sourced.
Great experience at the Fat Badger, Staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive! Mussels for starter and burger for main course! Both were faultless and mussels were very fresh and tasty! We also stayed in the rooms above which were full of all the amenities needed for a short break.
We visited late 2021 late review, sorry and enjoy our steak very much. We had a nice spot in the dining room, which was welcome as the pub section was boisterous Christmas. Service, food and ambiance were great for us.
Great place to meet up for a drink and even something to eat. We only had sandwiches but saw the other food coming out with looked amazing. Would recommend.
Reasonable price and average food. We don’t drink wine so we only ordered soft drinks and a bottle of sparkling water, but the waitress was not happy.
Fantastic seating area and great bar staff . Fabulous decor too . Drinks reasonable for Harrogate.
Fabulous place booked for a 50th Birthday party food was Fabulous and service would highly recommend
It's a brilliant place to have a drink and some thing to eat staff are very pleasant recommend it
Had a lovely evening at The Fat Badger when visiting Harrogate. We enjoyed the baked Camembert starter - good size for a starter - and the crispy pork belly and the ham hock. The steak mains very perfectly cooked and served on warmed plates. The cauliflower and Moroccan chicken were also very good. Nice wine selection. Very good service.
Just one word says it all really "Excellent"! The food was absolutely delicious; the ambience was perfect: warm and inviting; the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the rooms were quirky and exactly what you would want when visiting York: full of character, beautifully clean and the comfiest beds ever. All in all we had a wonderful few days there.
