I have driven past this pub so many times and went in recently for the first time. I was very happy with the food I had and the service too. I will definitely go again!
Hospitality was superb , very warm and welcoming. Lovely open fire. Food and beer were fantastic. Beautiful place, will definitely make this a regular eaterie.Service: 5/5
Stay at this hotel if you want no hot water and unhelpful staff. I complained that there was no hot water 3 times and all the staff seemed unbothered. Booked through Expedia. When requested a refund this hotel denied it. They obviously thing this level of service is acceptable . Save yourself a headache and stay somewhere else.
A warm welcome from the staff for a pre-Christmas family meal last week, nice surroundings with historic photos of Petworth and a log fire burning, the food was delicious especially my halloumi burger.
lovely little pub, friendly bar tender and nice overall vibe. Good selection of soft drinks, enjoyed a lot . toilets couldve been in better condition and better ale selection but overall very lovely for a little pub
The waitress was very friendly and welcoming but unfortunately the food wasn't up to scratch - ordered fish and chips and the batter was undercooked and soggy which made for a disappointing experience.
Interesting pub. Shame food isn't served past 8. Nice landlordService: 5/5
Could be so beautiful needs a lot of TLC outside areas ,staff friendly food lovely.jusr doesn't look inviting as above needs tidying up.
Great local pub, bang opposite the gates of Petworth House. Would recommend.
Lovely 17th century rooms where everything is slanted and massive woodern beams everywhere which definitely transports you back in time, we had a cute cubby hole library in our room which was loved by all. Food was very good for dinner and excellent cooked breakfast, staff were lovely too and couldn't be more helpful. Amazing value for money would recommend to anyone who wants something olde.
