You might be forgiven for walking past this place: it's a bit nondescript from the outside and the pub sign is a crime against tradition and typography, but don't make that mistake! Even on a weekday afternoon, the friendly and professional staff make you feel welcome, and the atmosphere and wood-beamed ceilings and log fires (I visited in the winter) are special. This is a very nice place to have a drink or a meal. I can't wait to go back.

The service was great and the food was delicious but if you're on a budget it's best to save this place for special occasions!

Calm and friendly but efficient too. High quality food for a fair price. Lovely tree lined courtyard terrace outside and oh what a lovely old building inside.

Coffee ok. Not very hospitable. Waited along time for coffee. Tiny car Park. Felt in the way.
