Best pub in SW! Consistently good - food, service and atmosphere. Staff go above and beyond to make guests happy, the Sunday roast is elite. Thanks to Matt I think the manager for looking after us!
Food is expensive, for example pie £21. Short rib on toast was very good.nNice pub, off the high street. Plenty of parking, London rates at £4 an hour.nGuest beer turned out to be Fullers or was it Youngs? and at 5.80 a pint, excellent value.
The Selkirk is PHENOMENAL!nnService. All staff we interacted with were so very friendly. Their engaging and humorous personalities made it a memorable evening.nnFood. Our party of 7 tried multiple dishes and they were ALL delicious - Every. Single. Dish.nI had the special that night of trout and lentils. Phenomenal!nnBeer. Multiple outstanding beers on tap. I was amazed to find Kronenbourg 1664 on tap.nnThank you! We will be back!
The best local pub! So happy this is my neighbourhood pub as it is one of the best pubs around.nnService - always friendly, staff are super helpful and kindnAtmosphere - great indoors pub atmosphere, definitely good in all seasons. Come winter there is a roaring fire on, in summer you can’t beat the outdoor beer garden with the fairy lights.nFood - honestly such a good gastropub, the Sunday roast is fairly priced and absolutely delicious. The Selkirk sizzlers in the summer time is one of the barbecues around!
I’ve visited this pub a few times and always had a great experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The beer garden is a standout feature, with plenty of seating and efficient heating, so you can enjoy the outdoors even in cooler weather. Since I’ve had my son, this pub has been a great spot for meeting up with other mums and babies —there’s a friendly vibe, and enough space for buggies, and and they host a number of sensory classes. Sunday roast is great as is the fish and chips. Very generous portions.
