When we first arrived, we wanted to just go back home. It didn't look appealing at all. We had a drive round, when to the Viaduct, then decided we were going to give it a chance. Well, I'm glad we did. The hotel was lovely, very clean, friendly staff. Our room didn't have a window, which I didn't really like, so I will ask for a window room next time. Spacious rooms, spacious bathroom. There was light that came on about 4 am and we couldn't turn it off, we were later told it was light to mimic a window, it didn't and it was annoying. There did seem to be a staff meeting going on outside our door at about 8.30am which woke me up, and could hear doors slamming most of the time. As first time Wetherspoon hoteliers we were very pleased with our stay there. The food wasn't too bad either. We had the steak for dinner, the best Wetherspoons steak we have had up to now, and the best was nice too.
Absolutely wonderful, beautiful rooms, very comfortable, perfect location and the staff were brilliant. Highly recommend
Had a great meal. Staff were excellent and attentive. Nice comfy seats by the window with lovely food.
We had a great lunch. Quality and quantity was spot on. Value was fantastic. Staff were excellent and attentive.
Cook lifted her cap rubbed her forehead with her palm then proceeded to open the loaf of bread and arrange the bread ready for the toaster in plain view of the dining area as it’s an open plan type kitchen all I could think about was a sweaty slice of bread now for breakfast sadly won’t be going back there
