Had really great short stay. The food was first class came to our table shortly after ordering. The staff very pleasant and helpful. The road outside a little noisy but not to bothersome. Safety: Felt very safe with key card entry.
Exception service from receptionist helping us with parking. Went well beyond what I'd expect. Nice clean room, blackout curtains and quiet for a good night's sleep. Lovely breakfast with quick service. Next time in corby we will be back at the Saxon CrownRooms: 4/5
I was really impressed with our room at the Saxon crown. The room was very clean, of a large size and was very nicely decorated. Also a nice touch was that it featured lots of local imagery in the rooms including artwork about Corby done by the local school children. There were fresh clean towels, and the shower pressure was amazing. I would highly recommend if you need a room in Corby, plus you only have to go downstairs for a meal and a drink. Walkability: It is situated Very close to the main shopping precinct, and also close to other amenities Food & drinks: You get the typical weatherspoons fair, cheap drinks and decent food priced very well
Nice enough pub in the center of Corby, ideal location if visiting the town center. Unfortunately the day we visited they had a flood which meant they had to close prematurely, but staff informed us of this after we had managed to order food and drink which were both great.Despite the chaos caused by the flood the staff were very efficient and they informed everyone about the situation and on the fact that they were going to have to close early
Nice atmosphere reasonable prices apart from carling its £03:53 a pint in the saxon crown. And £03 53 at Samuel Lloyd's.corby. and its neighbouring town kettering, its £02:63 a pint.? Really nice staff thoughService: 4/5
Great prices and quite good customer service. Cleanliness and food quality are not the top mark but quite acceptable for this price range Walkability: Just in the heart of town centre
I had an enjoyable lunch consisting of jacket spud with 5 bean chilli, sides of garden peas, and roasted vegetables. Service was pleasant during the afternoon. On the evening, I had chicken wings that looked overcooked from the outside. However, the wings were NOT cooked inside. I covered them with sauce because I planned to complain. The wings came back cooked but had traces of the sauces on. Clearly, the cook on Sunday, 7th Jan, did a very poor job. I stayed overnight and enjoyed a very comfortable night stay in an executive room. The following morning I had a good Scottish breakfast. Rooms: Very nice rooms
The Saxon Crown surpassed all my expectations with its exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and beautiful surroundings. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, who were attentive and always ready to assist with any request. The hotel itself exudes elegance and charm, with its stunning architecture and well-maintained grounds. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. I particularly loved the plush bedding and the attention to detail in the room's design. The on-site dining options at the Saxon Crown are truly outstanding. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, featuring both international and local cuisine, prepared with the freshest ingredients. Each dish I tried was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and accompanied by an excellent wine selection. The talented chefs at Saxon Crown truly know how to create culinary masterpieces. One of the highlights of my stay was the spa and wellness center. It provided a serene oasis where I could unwind and rejuvenate. The spa staff were incredibly skilled, delivering amazing massages and treatments that left me feeling pampered and renewed. The Saxon Crown's location is also worth noting. Situated in a picturesque area, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. It's the perfect retreat for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil escape from the busy city life. Lastly, I must commend the impeccable service at the Saxon Crown. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made me feel like a valued guest throughout my time at the hotel. Overall, I highly recommend the Saxon Crown for anyone who seeks a luxurious and memorable experience. Its impeccable service, beautiful setting, and attention to detail make it a standout destination that I can't wait to return to. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the Saxon Crown is sure to exceed your expectations and leave you with lasting memories.
Just popped in for a quick meal and a few drinks with friends, service was quick and staff friendly.Service: 4/5
The staff are great. But the food was a real let down . All cold and tasteless Steak as thin as a wafer. Very poor by Wetherspoons normal standard. Food & drinks: Poor. All cold.
