I was teaching 7 learners First Aid, which required a certain amount of space for practicals. This was not a problem for us and we could have made more space by moving the tables around. The room also had dimmable lights which helped with the projector. Pens/pads/drinks were provided as well as lunch from the canteen across 3 days and unlimited teas/coffees/juices. There are fast food restaurants next door as well I would recommend them in the future. Food & drinks: They will make adjustments to any dietary requirements.
We had a lovely experience at The Hampton. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was a nice size, clean and great TV. The shower isn't an overhead one which is great for women who don't want to wash their hair every time they shower! The breakfast was one of the best we've had had a hotel, tasty and fresh and wide variety. The coffee was the best the latte We even asked for a cup later in the night and the helpful chef Handsome Rob kindly obliged. We can't speak more highly of the experience and will definitely stay again. Rooms: Nice size, quiet, clean. The pillows are amazing... considered taking one home with me. The mirror in the bathroom was perfect for makeup application. Food & drinks: Top notch breakfast with killer coffee.
We went for the Land Rover experience day , it was my dad and I, we had a room each. They were very clean and big, and well priced , We ate at the weatherspoons next door and watched the football which was superb. Breakfast in the morning was great , all you needed and with a waffle making machine with all the trimmings. Check in and check was slick Would recommend for the Land Rover experience as you were 5 mins away
The only reason I've lowered the score is because I didn't have a good night sleep over the 2 days I stayed there. The room was freezing, and I was kept awake which wasn't the staff fault. The staff are so lovely and friendly, they couldn't help enough, bless them. Local great as you have 2 pubs so no need to drink. The locals we met were so friendly. We would stay there again but not in the same room though lol.
OK not the best location or view, industrial/out of town however some of the best customer service I have ever received from the receptionist who checked me in to staff at breakfast in the morning. Rooms are standard hotel, clean comfy bed. On the same site was a greggs, subway and dominos plus a weatherspoons.Rooms: 4/5
Great hotel, staff polite and helpful. Room was as expected, basic but good quality. Ordered Chicken Curry and good value meal served quickly. Breakfast was help yourself, best to go early to get freshest hot food, the eggs and beans looked like they'd been there a while. Hotel car park not huge but larger car park next to hotel is free and used my most other guests who cant park in the hotel spaces.
Bizarrely placed which means never room in car park, it’s totally inadequate for the hotel which means people are parked at the end of the rows so partially blocking access. All staff encountered were friendly, however they are up and hoovering from 9AM so if you wanted a lie-in forget it. Breakfast is only till 9am on weekdays despite what common sense and google searches tell you, it’s only till 10am on weekends. Bathrooms are nice & Rooms are generally fine, our air con was broken though so despite being cold outside was cooking in the room with no ability to cool it down as obviously windows don’t open. Probably the worst Hampton I’ve stayed at in all honesty but not terrible and still probably better than a Travelodge Walkability: Very close to Domino’s Pizza, next door to a Wetherspoons etc so food options nearby are great. Food & drinks: If you can’t have dairy you need to ask staff at this one specifically for dairy free milk etc as unlike other Hamptons it’s not usually out freely available but they can provide it if you ask.
Staff are very professional, spacious rooms clean, tidy and comfy. WiFi super fast. It might be difficult to locate the property first time as postcode search/Waze leads you to a different place. and the hotel is surrounded by buildings with more prominent signs. Suggested to put up road directional signs. Breakfast is great, couldn't have enough of their scrambled eggs. Dinner arrangement is poor. It may take 1hr to get your orders, if at all you get it.
Dog friendly and well located for us as we often travel between Essex and Yorkshire. Breakfast is average but otherwise, everything is great.Rooms: 5/5
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel, had a 2 night stop over...Staff were actually very nice. Front desk pleasant helpful and smiley, which is a joy. The house cleaners the same chatty and very pleasant. Used their restaurant for breakfast which on a whole was very good. Plenty to choose from, cooked to pastries fruit etc. My only criticism is the mushrooms served with the English breakfast are appalling. Tasteless tinned button type. Change them they let the rest of the food down. Also the positioning of your butter needs re jigging. It sits above the fruit, which is ready to serve fruit pieces, some butter had been dropped into by guests whom find it difficult to juggle it off the plate as it's cold and awkward to serve. The rooms are very clean fantastic showers nice towels etc. One other thing that I don't like is the fact the windows in the rooms are just a piece of glass and have no opening facilities. I personally like my window to open just a bit at night in all weather. . Several places outside the hotel to drink and eat and ample parking, all in all really enjoyed it... well done....
