Well laid out pathways giving excellent access to everyone even with mobility issues. Tracks for mountain bikers and horses. Great tree house area for kids. There is also a cafe (great ice cream) Excellent bird hide overlooking the pond Very busy at weekends but quiet and peaceful during weekdays,so you can enjoy the birdsong.

Lovely place to go for a day out. The highway rat trail provided great entertainment for the kids. Well maintained with lots to do. Will definitely return

Much nicer experience during the week. Been on a Saturday or Sunday before and the car park is overwhelmed. There are several walks and an easy ( if a little hilly) family cycling route ( 5 miles). Easy technical trails too. Still £4 to park though and no facility to pay by card, apart from text.

Parking is very expensive but it's such a beautiful place to walk. The cafe and children's area is quite crowded, but once you get into the forest it's pretty quiet. There are 3 walks, all different lengths for different abilities. I did the purple walk and it was great. Lots of benches to have a rest if you need one and some lovely wildlife.

Woodland walks? Check. Mountain bike trails? Check. Kids play areas? Check and check. Toilets, café, and ice cream stand? Check x 3 Fineshade is a great place to visit in pretty much any weather and with a range of walks and plenty of activities for children it will appeal to the whole family. The only thing you have to pay for is parking which is a little steep for a quick visit at £1.50 for an hour but much more reasonable at £4 for a whole day. So prepare your picnic and go for the whole day. It won't disappoint.
