With rides ranging from the Pirate Ship to Rocky Falls log flume, there is plenty to keep you and your family entertained! If you are looking for a more relaxing experience, there is the nature reserve and 147 acres of beautiful parkland.

Wicksteed Park also offers a very popular camp site and is host to many private and corporate events, with facilities to hire. Luxurious timber lodges are also available to buy on a peaceful plot.

Great place for a day out. Can get very busy summer school holidays but worth a visit. New areas are great and it's good to have age appropriate activities. Regular visitor with my own children in the past and now with grandchildren. It is possible to spend the day without spending any more than your car parking fee. Take a picnic and enjoy the many free parts.

This is a great place for kids of all ages. Lots of open space. Affordable and a choice of activity. I would suggest get there early and do the things which might have queues later and then enjoy the park. We did the zip wire which is very long and I am told travels at 40mph - book the zip online before going. Lots of toilets, bins and others things which you can never find at other places. Helpful staff. Parking was also plentiful and affordable - around £6 for the day.

A very relaxed alternative to many theme parks. Plenty of open space to have a picnic, play games and enjoy the fresh air. A good selection of rides (though not white-knuckle) with short queues and no pressure to spend large sums of money in their retail outlets. Very dog friendly too.

Nice place for the family to have a picnic and rides. Very relaxed. Great for little ones. Also priced well. Although paying for the car parking is tedious at the end of the day with a long queue . Especially when little ones are tired. Should have contactless card payment on exit to make life easier.

A great day for young kids - almost exactly as I remember it! Yes, it's a bit dated, but for young kids it was great value, next to no queues for rides and plenty to do. We also loved the fish and chips, a pleasant surprise as we thought with a captive audience they would be expensive and not great quality - as it happens they were reasonably priced and really tasty!! Our 5 and 2 year olds loved it!
