On the whole we enjoyed our 5 night stay here in September 2022. The booking process was simple and the owner friendly. The apartment is very clean and spacious. The bed was very large and comfortable. The kitchen is a bit sparsely appointed. For example, no chopping boards and only 2 wine glasses 1 red and 1 white. The location is excellent for Bakewell a couple of minutes quiet walk. However, the apartment is directly above part of The Woodyard restaurant. The issue is that you can hear bass from their music from around midday until about 9:30pm. It is not that loud but always present. We ate in the restaurant and the music is not that loud, so must be an insulation issue. Also, their bin storage is directly below the bedroom and bit collections are around 6:30am Tuesday and 7am Wednesday!
My husband and I stayed in this apartment just recently and it is fabulous. The location next to the river couldn't be better with just a really pleasant short walk into the town. We walked from the door onto the Monsal trail which was perfect with loads of things to do and see. The area is really stunning with fabulous views too. The apartment is immaculate and has everything that we needed for our stay including parking not that we needed a car as everything is so close. The apartment is light and airy and just so clean we couldn’t recommend this place enough. We will be back.
We recently stayed at River View, which is a fabulous apartment in central Bakewell overlooking the river. It is ideally placed for visiting all thePeak District sights including Chatsworth House, which we visited while we were there. The owner at River View was very helpful and the apartment was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back for another stay.
Comfortable, well appointed accomodation, lovely views across the River Wye, very still and quiet at night. Not cheap, but on our list for a return visit.
Spacious, clean, modern and exceedingly well appointed, the perfect hideaway positioned so close to all the amenities of the town
We visited after Chats worth House enjoyed a lovely meal in good surroundings would recommend
Fantastic break in a fabulous apartment.
