Story

The Royal Oak is a family run public house and restaurant situated in the heart of the village of Brandon bordering Warwickshire with the West midlands.

Our food is home cooked and traditional, made only from ingredients of the highest quality supplied by our local suppliers. Not only will we provide you with an honest and wholesome English meal, but we will throw in the olde worlde surroundings of original beams, open fire place and water well, along with a relaxed, warm and very, very friendly atmosphere.

While we pride ourselves on providing excellent food and services, we do not want to forget that we are still an establishment for those that want to just come and relax over a bottle of wine, soft-drink, cup of coffee or one of our finest Cask Ales.

We are the perfect venue to host your private functions. We can seat up to 80 for a sit down meal and up to 150 for more informal get togethers. Menus for larger functions will be available on request.

The Royal Oak welcomes families and those that simply want a simple meal out. We have a children's play area at the rear and a large, seated patio and designated smoking area to the front.

We also offer free WiFi to all of our customers

Busy which usually means its good. Food took a while to arrive but it was very tasty with more than ample portion sizes. Would recommend booking.

Does not cater well for vegetarians. There was only one vegetarian option on the 2-4-1 menu and when asked if we could swap the meat burger to the veggie one we were told no, despite it being cheaper on the regular menu. Ended up paying double to have veggie food :-( but it was nice when it arrived and good service.

Consistently good pub food, we visit several times a year and it never fails to deliver. They offer a loyalty card which is stamped after each visit and, when fully stamped, it entitles you to a free main course. The portion sizes are on the large side (which suits me!) if you're a small eater you will struggle with more than just a main course. I'd definitely recommend sharing the camembert between two (pictured). There are a number of vegetarian options, of which I highly recommend the veggie lasagna (I actually prefer it to the beef). If you can manage a dessert, I'd highly recommend the Movenpick ice creams from the specials menu. Reservations are advised, especially at peak times, as it tends to get quite busy. People in wheelchairs may struggle, not sure if it's possible to come through another entrance but the restaurant area is up a flight of steps. Having said that the bar area is on ground level and it's possible to eat here too. Worth giving them a call to ask. During winter the restaurant area can be a little on the chilly side, so if you feel the cold make sure you've got a jumper (it's never uncomfortably cold mind). There are two car parks, both of which are free to use and I've never struggled to find a space.
