Pure excellence. I started frequenting Franklin after becoming suspect about the quality of the fish from my old chippy in the area. After switching allegiances to Franklin, I must admit, I became a little disillusioned to think I have been missing out on properly prepared fish for so many years is just dreadful! The fish is juicy and the batter is of just the right proportion; these two attributes are very rare to find in combination. The other staple of chips are similarly fantastic, the chips are of a consistent size, portion sizes are generous and the texture is soft - yet not mushy. The prices are decent and when factoring in the quality, some might say the prices are bargain-prices. The customer service here was good too.

This chip shop/fast food restaurant was more expensive than many nearby food shops and had a fairly negative atmosphere. Staff did not seem very happy in comparison to other places and it felt a little dim. Its location is fairly convenient and the chips are decent, however anything other than chips, you'll pay through the nose for. (It's costly.) There are other places nearby which do larger portions such as the shop opposite Sainsbury's.
