Frequented many of of the pubs in Nottingham and this is the favourite. New owners have done a marvellous job. The food is out of the top drawer, you can tell they use high end ingredients. It really is stand out. Excellent value for money too. Great selection of drinks and superb staff.
Have been here several times. Tables with seats & banquettes are arranged radially around the main interior space, & there is outdoor seating for warm weather. Staff are welcoming & helpful. There's a wide range of food including tapas-style small dishes which you can combine andtor share. Definitely something to suit everyone.
A very nice pub of the beaten track right next to Nottingham castle . Worth dropping in to watch the world go by .Service: 4/5
Excellent service. Even though there was an issue with our food order through no fault of their own, the staff and owner did everything to put it right and more. Personal service at its best and the food was delicious. Good selection of beers on tap and will be heading back again soon.Food: 5/5
We came here as a family and it was an absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. The staff were super kind and friendly and the food was amazing! It was Sunday, so roasts all around, and oh my goodness were they ever good. We had the 3-course menus and from start to finish, it did not disappoint. The haddock bubble and squeak was amazing and such a light starter, but we also tried the mac and cheese and cauliflower soup which were absolutely delicious. The roast chicken and beef were fantastic and the sauces were great. We were really thankful as well as they brought extra Yorkshire puddings for my uncle he was thrilled!. Dessert was excellent as well and we loved the brownie, crumble and orange and rhubarb fool. Side note as well, their Old Fashioned cocktail was really good too! I'd highly recommend a visit. :
Has become one of my favourite pubs in the recent months, the atmosphere and design inside is amazing, especially the nights around Christmas they had jazz on. The food is excellent pub food and reasonably priced, I still salivate thinking about that fish batter. The staff are all friendly and quick. The beer selection is okay, a bit pricey and could be better but I have no major complaints.
Not a huge choice of ales but what they have is great and the lines are very well kept. Best pint I have had in a while. Me and the wife both had the Roundhouse BBQ stack burger. It was amazing! The homemade steak patty was so good. Topped with BBW pulled pork and homemade onion rings. For £13, you can't go wrong. The last time I enjoyed a burger that much was in the states. The staff are lovely, very friendly and attentive. Also, if it's your thing the music here is great! They played Chris Stapleton, Morgan Waller, Luke Combs to name a few. Not sure who gets credit for that but well done! Be back soon.
Best pub in Nottingham. The young lads running the place, along with their excellent staff, exude enthusiasm and professionalism. They are knowledgeable about the beers they have on. The ales are well kept and there’s always a new brew on draught every time I go in. Food is great and they do group events too. The locals are cool and there’s a more than a few lovely eccentrics that frequent the place. Proper pub in a fascinating building. Proper pub.
Really lovely bar, the history behind the building is interesting and old pictures of this on display. Staff are really friendly and the food is delicious!Food: 5/5
Absolutely fantastic pub, the atmosphere is lovely, very calming and a great vibe. The service is brilliant, all the staff are beyond lovely and cannot do enough to help! The food is presented amazing and is an upgrade of unbelievable amounts from 'pub food' to restaurant quality! Highly recommended - must go to in Nottingham!
